We are thrilled to announce that Tonsättarcentrum in Gotland, in partnership with Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) of Stockholm, have installed JG Thirlwell‘s audio installation piece “In Memoriam”. The piece is playing at the Tingstäde Fortress just north of Visby in Gotland for the summer of 2024. The installation will be up until August 13 2024, and is part of the Elektronmusikstudion 60th anniversary celebration.

A short 10 minute documentary about Stockholm’s Elektron Musik Studion or  Elektronmusikstudion.  Well not really a documentary just intercutvideo of the studio with 1974 sounding beeps and bongs.

Spending some days at EMS (Elektronmusikstudion) in Stockholm, Sweden, in studio two, taking advantage of the multi channel system to create some surround mixes of the work that I have been doing there with the Buchla and Serge modular systems. The studio was designed by the same guy who built Abba's studio.
