hello new anthro designs

all of these except Chlorine have been drawn anthro before so this was alright

although Argon's outfit has been redesigned and I gave Calcium some nice pearl jewelry

Chlorine's clothes are partially bleached because....chlorine........

Original Element Cats (Na-Ca)

yeah i just kind of sit with these in my drafts and now is as good a time as any to release them so......fine you can have your element cats.....

similar to modern Sodium but..... oiled up.........

oh god.... Phosphorus what did young Cyan do to you.... as you can tell she's mostly black allotrope here (original version of canon did not do anything special with allotropes. just sort of picked one and went about my day. hence Bananantimony.) Her tail is... supposed to be a matchstick. Modern Phosphorus is kind of a completely different character to the original lol

Sulphur oh Sulphur my dearest Sulphur........ after everything it's still you and all that..... fun fact I removed the smoke tail because a family member told me it looked like a fart

same design for Chlorine but manages to be utterly sauceless

yeah that's a completely different Argon. I don't know where I came under the impression that argon glow was that colour. also fun fact this Argon was the shortest element cats. idk why

I love thinking about how the 'loner' elements find out that everyone has been fighting each other while they've been gone, and the elements trying to build community again after the war

Calcium does not deserve eyebrows

i look at this and I feel a sense of pride...look how far he's come...in the beginning he was cow-print...then he was a skeleton...and now here we are... calcium's probably gone through some of the biggest changes in concept out of all of them

In a similar way there is a swimming trifecta of Calcium, Bromine and Neptunium

Neptunium doesn't participate in the element war because they live underwater and didn't know it was happening

at the next periodic assembly she's like "I am taking you out to sea, do not resist" to Calcium and Bromine and they are like "oh. ok then"

their nautical asses need to frolick around a coral reef

first two were me experimenting with Potassium and Calcium's new designs before I drew them digitally

bottom two are Rubidium and Caesium, anthro variety

Rubidium has been drawn up digitally but I don't have access to the computer right now

I really like her and Caesium and think they are a pretty cool duo

side note: I wonder what position people usually draw clocks when they aren't meant to specifically represent one time because I drew Caesium's clock necklace in the 4 o'clock position (also the eyes but the position of the clock hands in her eyes are proportional to how angry she is so that's different)

I think more general concepts are good for Potassium and Calcium. For Potassium, not "banana" but "plant nutrients". For Calcium, not "endoskeleton" but "mineralised tissues in organisms".

In particular, I think Potassium can take more inspiration from its use as a fertiliser and derivation from plant ash

Calcium may take more inspiration from corals and shells
