Fucking and making new beasts is associated with Fire because of the passion and energy it involves.

Arson is associated with Earth because its only natural for tangible beasts to want to destroy.

Elemental Correspondences

Earth: Earth represents abundance, strength, wealth, prosperity, and stability.  In ritual, things like dirt, stones, wood, herbs, flowers, leaves and even cemetery dirt in some cases, usually in used in Hoodoo, are used to represent Earth.  Focus on the Earth element when casting spells for business, fertility, and stability. Earth Correspondences Direction: North Gender: Female Colors: Black, green, yellow, brown Time of Day: Midnight Season: Winter Ritual Tools: Dirt, leaves, wood, stones, any kind of plant Herbs/Plants: Ivy, grains, oats, rice, patchouli, nuts, roots, oak, vetiver, lichens Animals: Wolves, bears Metals: Iron, lead Signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn Stones/Jewels: Rock crystals, emerald, onyx, jasper, salt, azurite, quartz Goddesses: Gaea, Mah, Ceres, Demeter,  Nephtys, Rhen, Persephone Gods: Ran, Arawn, Athos, Cernunnos Air: Air represents our mind, intelligence, psychic powers, knowledge, and dreams. FINALLY!! I'm finished!! My elemental series in my grimoire includes Clow Cards (recolored by renjiabaraigr.deviantart.com) and my personal artwork. I tell you, I was DREADING doing Fire because I SUCK at flames! However, thanks to @delicate-flower-here , I was able to get in some practice before I did mine. If any of you can catch it, I have a Pop Culture surprise for Studio Ghibli fans hidden somewhere in one of the elements. ;) Now I can move on to filling in more of my grimoire! :)

So, this table was/is another part of the Moonlight Academy Grimoire Challenge by @moonlightgrimoirechallenge. (Sort of, it’s how I interpreted the prompt, anyway.) The way I work with elements is a little strange so let me explain. Each element has it’s traditional quality correspondences. Water, for example, is Cold, Wet, and Receptive. That is super helpful, and well-established info. However, it’s totally possible to refine what kind of elemental energy one is calling on by using those traits on each element.  If I wanted to, for example, remove my self from my anxious thoughts, I would call on Receptive Spiritual Dark Air, to bring myself to a neutral static place. That way, I wouldn’t risk bringing overthinking into it.  I’m really visual, so the physical energies are images for me, but they have their own sort of energy. There’s a real, effective weight to them, I just find them hard to describe without imagery. 

Your mileage may vary on the associations, but I wanted to share the technique/idea, at the very least!
