at work omg;

So Wednesday at work I had this veteran come in, and with being a vet we give you a senior discount... But when this man showed me his rewards card I told him thank you for you doing your time like I tell everyone that I see that has that little sticker.. 

He goes on telling me how 40 years ago he was in the Vietnam war and he was a medic who got ambushed and shot in the leg. he showed me the wound on his calf and under his knee was astonishing...the muscles he moved you could see how large of a bullet he got hit by.. He even started to cry since when he got back from the war everyone hated him.. he said no one cared he got shot for doing something to simple..

this man was so beautiful and wonderful i can not describe it; never had that close and personal conversation with one of my members before.. I touched his heart and that i was beautiful person inside and out to touch him... he shared a small bit of the horrors he have seen.

I love my job so much, even though working four days straight is killing me..its the members that keep me going.. I'm so thankful for what i do. helping people like him and people in general with the pain they are dealing with.
