y tu mama tambien coded nortellao oh the brainworms. i'm scared to post a snippet because i've written so much of it buuuuuuut....

Lando agrees, and then feels desperately, stupidly guilty for agreeing. No such thing as bad thoughts, he tries to remind himself. The guilt still claws at him, and he drops his head onto Max’s shoulder. “Fuckin’ . . . like, missed you, Maxie.”

He feels Max turn his head towards him. “Missed you too, Lan. I’m glad we’re doing this.” His breathing is soft, ruffling Lando’s curls along with the breeze. Lando blinks slowly, but Max is already pulling away, heading back inside. “That reminds me, I have to show you the new designs. Wait here, I’ll grab my phone, it –” The screen door bangs behind him, cutting his voice off.

Lando goes back to staring at the ocean, and a few minutes later, it’s a new set of steps that interrupts his thoughts. The sound of sandalled feet, their tread more delicate than Max’s. Lando squeezes his eyes shut, and he smells P before she slides in next to him. The two of them stand there for a few minutes. A strand of hair comes loose from her braid, and it tickles against his shoulder. 

When she speaks, her voice is soft. “It was very nice of you to do all this. For Max.” Her gaze is fixed on the side of his face.

Lando’s mouth goes dry, and he doesn’t let himself look at her. “Yeah. For Max.”

soooo basically what it is is oscar works on a ranch owned by jenson button, this is set sometime in the 80s-90s southwestern america. and lando is jenson's son-in-law who lives in the city and is coming down because he wants to paint en plein aire. (or perhaps he's been sent down because his parents are sick of him, who's to say?) but anyway, oscar essentially has to take this gorgeous little twink painter around their property for the few months that lando's staying and oscar's so jacked from working on the farm and, yeah, maybe there aren't many girls out here so he hasn't had the most experience. or, like, any. cue the most freaked-the-fuck-out puppy dog virgin top oscar trying so hard to get it right and make it good for lando, who's like, oh my god. he's adorable. i want him forever. lando is... more experienced.

i haven't written a whole ton of it, but here's some:

When Button told him the horses needed to move to the eastern pasture, Oscar didn’t argue. He didn’t argue about much, it was true, least of all these days. He was told to do things, and he did them. 

Besides, he wasn’t paid to argue. And even if the farm was dusty and dry, and the wind came across the desert so hard it blinded, this far out, and maybe Oscar was only here because he had nowhere else to go, it was home. His home.

It’s not until they get home that Lando realizes how much his chest aches. Not just his chest, but his back and his shoulders and his ribs.

He slips away from Oscar, who calls something after him about getting changed to go for a run (because Oscar is a psycho who runs after dinner) and heads up to the bathroom. Standing in front of the mirror, framed in Oscar’s dim bathroom lighting, Lando unbuttons his shirt. Shoulders it off. 

The white fabric crumples as it hits the floor, and Lando looks up at the mirror and . . . fuck. There’s blood soaked through his binder. Not, like, a lot of blood. But enough blood. Tiny specks of it. Lando blinks at himself in the mirror.

Oscar – who is meant to be out on a run, the traitor - steps through the bathroom door behind him. “Baby, are you –” His eyes catch on the binder, which Lando is struggling to unclip. Then the redness seeping through. Lando’s arms fall to his sides, then come up to tuck round himself. Oscar opens his mouth, then shuts it, shakes his head, and tries again: “What happened?”

“Nothing.” Lando’s voice is soft.

A muscle in Oscar’s jaw jumps. “How long have you had that on?”

Since last night, is the answer. Lando stares at the tiles as he tries to do the maths. He’d just . . . he’d felt so awful, is all. So disgusting and he’d felt like a girl and Oscar hadn’t been there to remind him that he wasn’t, he wasn’t, he wasn’t. Maybe fourteen hours. Tears prick at his eyes. Oscar’s still staring at him. “Lando.”
