Avalui and the What Might Have Beens { Bryony x Cappie and Gemma x Hector }

WHO DOES WHAT IN YOUR OTP (CHRISTMAS EDITION):

AVALUI

-Who wraps presents horribly and has to get help from the other: I feel like Lui’s actually better at it than she is? He’s not great at it but Avalon’s kind of like displaced in time and isn’t really totally caught up with modern things yet even though she’s trying. She’s hella competitive, though, and I’m sure she’d hate that Lui was better at it than her and would catch up/pass him in no time. 

-Who excitedly wakes up their partner on Christmas morning: Lui. He’s a shithead full of too much energy, he’d absolutely wake her up in a completely obnoxious way. 

-Who holds the mistletoe over the both of their heads: Also Lui. He’d say he was doing it to teach her new traditions but honestly he’s just a fuckboy with a plant that makes people kiss him, would you expect him to behave any differently :p 

-Who sets up the christmas lights and who holds the ladder: Avalon likes to take charge? So I feel like she’d boss Lui around and tell him to hold the ladder and would be the one climbing up and doing the decorations just so -- even if she thought the whole thing was weird and extravagant, I think she’d still want to be the one in charge of it. 

-Who gets angry at little kids and tells them Santa isn’t real: Neither gets like angry at little kids, although Avalon is the one that’s more like a fish out of water and I could see her accidentally asking a question that makes it obvious Santa isn’t real/ spoils the secret without it being a deliberate sort of thing. 

-Who bails the other out of mall jail for telling kids Santa isn’t real: They’re in jail together. They probably got into a sword fight in the middle of the mall -- the real question is just whether it was real swords or toy ones they accidentally stole lol

HEMMA

-Who wraps presents horribly and has to get help from the other: Hector is awful at wrapping gifts because he’s not used to liking people enough to give them out. He wouldn’t ask for help, though, he’d just drop off a horribly wrapped gift for Gemma and grumble about it if she said anything teasing him about his lack of skills. 

-Who excitedly wakes up their partner on Christmas morning: Gemma? I feel like Hector’s an early riser anyway but she’d get up earlier to try and get him into the spirit/force him to be a little bit less of a Grinch on the holiday lol

-Who holds the mistletoe over the both of their heads: Gemma. Again, she’s stuck with the pirate grinch lol so whatever traditions and stuff she wants to get him involved in, she’s really going to have to push his limits and try and poke and prod him into participating. 

-Who sets up the christmas lights and who holds the ladder: I feel like Hector gets sucked into this somehow. Like, I don’t know if it’s peer pressure from the extended Triton family or if it’s Gemma pouting at him and knowing she can get her way even if he grumbles, or even if he just thinks that it’s a nice way to escape from a crowd, but Hector’s the one putting up the lights, either with other significant others or with Gemma herself holding it, I don’t think it’s always the same. 

-Who gets angry at little kids and tells them Santa isn’t real: Hector is definitely the Christmas spoiling meanie in this pair lol. In any pair that involves Hector it would probably be him lol 

-Who bails the other out of mall jail for telling kids Santa isn’t real: I don’t think Hector would be caught dead in a mall unless he absolutely had to go for some reason, so I’m pretty sure that Gemma would have to find some strange way to get mall-jailed and then he’d grudgingly come get her and spend the whole way out talking about how much he hates malls lol 

CAPONY

-Who wraps presents horribly and has to get help from the other: I don’t think either of them would be a bad wrapper! Although Bryony seems like she’d be less patient than Cappie so I bet that with more difficult to wrap gifts he’d slide in and help her just to spare her the frustration of weird shapes and stuff. 

-Who excitedly wakes up their partner on Christmas morning: Cappie! Bryony doesn’t seem like she has a lot of enthusiasm for a lot of things, and though he’s usually a pretty chill person too, he’d be excited about spending Christmas with loved ones and most likely probably about finally being able to give his carefully planned gifts to Bryony lol

-Who holds the mistletoe over the both of their heads: Neither. Cappie feels like that’s a pretty cheap move and Bryony doesn’t seem like she’d be into it because of the people it would involve having to accidentally kiss from time to time, so if they end up under mistletoe it’s a coincidence or someone else’s meddling. 

-Who sets up the christmas lights and who holds the ladder: Cappie. Bryony’s tiny so he’d be the one climbing up and reaching tall places (although he’d offer to lift her up and let her put the star at the top, which she’d probably refuse because needing someone else to pick her up isn’t empowering and she doesn’t seem like she’d like it)

-Who gets angry at little kids and tells them Santa isn’t real: If anyone, Bryony, but I think under the crusty exterior she has a good heart and kids have never done anything to like, deserve her sharp tongue being turned on them. So I think the kiddies are safe but she’s definitely more likely to blow SAnta’s cover than Cappie is! 

-Who bails the other out of mall jail for telling kids Santa isn’t real: Cappie would bail Bryony out for getting into some kind of argument with someone in a store lol.
