Family-An Aden X Elena Drabble piece/short fanfic
“Morning, there!”
“Come on, up and at ‘em!”
Aden’s eyes slowly open as he is awoken by the familiar voice that greets him every morning. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he sees the smiling face of his wife beside him.
“Good Morning, Elena” he says still a bit groggy from his previous night’s rest.
Getting up from their bed, he walks over to the small table with Elena sitting across from him. On the way, he sees their son, Ron sleeping peacefully in his bed in front of their own. He was about 5 years old with his father’s grey-purplish hair and his mother’s bright blue eyes with tan-coloured clothing similar to his father’s. Meanwhile, the couple discuss their plans for this special day. Why is it special? It just happens to be Ron’s 5th birthday today and they were just going over their plans for his party that will be happening later today. “Don’t be gone too long, ok?” Elena reminds him as she sees him off to his daily work as she heads to the inn to help prepare decorations for the upcoming party.
*Time skip ahead 5 hours*
Aden steps back through the door that connects to the back of Ymir’s head as tiredly climbs up the stairs towards his and Elena’s house and entering before returning with a wrapped object. Upon entering the inn, he sees Ron opening his presents happily with Elena by his side as Aden places his gift in Ron’s lap. Upon opening it, he finds a tan-coloured plush golem holding a sword. As Elena and Ron simultaneously hug him, he thinks in his head “I wouldn’t have it any other way”.
This is my first Drabble piece which took meabout an hour and a half to make. CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is encouraged and thank you to @fandomfanficsgalore for inspiring me to start writing these!
