Wonderfully strange Elephant Building in Coventry is my newest print. This iconic building of Coventry Sport and Leisure Centre is better known as the Elephant Building thanks to its uncanny resemblance to the world’s largest mammal (and its massive size?). It’s linked with Coventry Central Baths via glazed link bridge (which looks like a trunk). While the Central Baths were Grade II listed and so protected, the Elephant Building is unfortunately in a danger of demolition.⁠ ⁠

Phase 4 : Elephant Building 

On phase 4 I am focusing on the performance of the building because in phase 3 I am focusing the concept and how the secondary structure is helping this building

This phase I am analysis the sun path in Bangkok how the sun is facing to this building and how this building got the heat so i design the balcony to be the form that prevent sun and create the shading by the height of it.

The side that will receive the sun the most will be higher than normal handrail the highest handrail will be 1.3 meters and the lowest if 0.8 meters so this will create more shading to this building and also having a vertical gardens to create the passive cooling and also make the concept of habitat of elephant and bring green into the city
