alexander hamilton, satisfied, one last time, it's quiet uptown
What are some things you want more people to know about you?
okay this probably sounds weird but maybe that I can work hard at things. Most things that I was praised for growing up were talents I didn’t have to work for so I’ve only acquired any sort of work ethic in last couple of years and this semester especially.
What has been the hardest decision you've ever had to make?
literally nothing comes to mind because for the largest part of my life I’ve been super apathetic to what happens to me, life choices-wise and I feel like that’s only now starting to change.
Do you have a hard time quitting things or saying goodbye?
I think I can be very stubborn, but once I’ve made a decision I don’t really look back (much) so for instance there’s two years’ worth of friends that I don’t really talk to anymore (apart from one) and even when I was on the fence about wht I should do it’s like once I’ve decided what to do I do that.
Where do you like to go to think or brood?
My bed, I spend like 95% of the time I’m home in my bed. I’m in bed right now.

Oh my god, I remember reading the book in English because I didn’t want to wait for the German version, but I was like 14 so my English wasn’t super yet and I was SO CONFUSED and no one could help me because no one had read it yet
OMG! That’s amazing. Kudos to you for trying to get through it in English first, that had to be tough! I never even considered the fact that people in other countries had to wait for it to come out in their language, that was a less internationally enlightened time for me!
6, 15 and 24 for the 2014 numbers thing!
6. What would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?
A book deal :D
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Two things - moving back to California, and…I eloped :D
24. What’s the best book you read?
Tough question! this year was actually a big let down year for me, with a lot of my favourite series ending with questionable to horrible final books…so I’m gonna have to say The Raven Boys.
I associate you with Giles! Also you sort of remind me of Susan from the Narnia books.
I love both of those! Giles is amazing, and I wish that Watcher was an actual career path because I would totally be on it! Librarians who research/specialize in magic and demons and the mystical are inspirations and I wish those job areas were a little more relevant to the real world! And Susan is so sweet! It's been ages since I've read the Narnia books, but I did love Susan (and I liked her in the movies as well). Forever heartbroken that she's not allowed back in Narnia because of lipstick and boys!
♥️(I hope this will still be a heart when it's not on my phone)
Sorry this took me a while! I really like that we are now at like Level 6 of friendship, which is when you are pretty much assimilated into my family and that by now we have a lot of everyday routine down and also that either of us can just go “alright, bye” and leave and that’s cool. Shaving your head was a lot of fun and I love your hair shorter like it is now and that you like it. Also (in a non-creepy way) that I can sometimes hear your guitar-playing through the wall and recognising the songs. And it’s super cool to see you getting more confident and more pretty with time! And getting cooler together (I’m really looking forward to that alumni thing at Christmas, because I know that we’ll just be using it to strike envy into the hearts of people we went to school with <3 ) I also like your clothing style and that one day we’ll be evil twins. Also your eyebrows are great and you’re an amazing person and I’m really glad that we’re flat mates and super-friends.
♥ *a day late with Starbucks and the powerful desire to hear people say nice things about me*
OMG! Yay! I don’t know you super well (because it took me forever to actually follow you for some reason that I don’t actually know), but you and Katharina are amazing together! I love the mix of fandom and serious stuff in your blog, it’s a good balance. We share pretty much all the same fandoms, and you just seem like a really nice person overall!
6 (ehehe), 11, 19
6. Five facts about your best friend. If you have more than one, pick one. Or do them all!
My best friend is Hanna, elephantsofmemory !
1. We sat next to each other on the first day of fifth grade. I was wearing a striped sweater and accidentally stole one of her pencils, a crime to which I only confessed five years later.
2. We both play the piano and the guitar, and have recently started learning to play the violin.
3. We’ve been flat mates for about four months now and it’s gr9 but I don’t clean as much as I should.
4. If either of us ever kills someone the other will help them dispose of the body.
5. People apparently like to assume that we’re a couple, including, but not limited to my grandmother who , when I told her we’re flat mates, asked me if we had our own rooms or if we shared.
11. Five facts about your pet. If you have more than one, pick one. Or do them all!
The Dog
1. Our dog used to be called Tina but now it’s Mika and she is black and very pretty.
2. When we got her she was smaller than our cat and afraid of her but now she’s significantly taller than the cat and still afraid of her.
3. My mum is a member in a club for owners of German shepherds. Our dog is not a German shepherd and neither is any other dog in this club.
4. Mika is black but she’s starting to get white around the nose because she’s only getting cuter.
5. Our dog is the best dog all others are fake
Cat #1
1. Our oldest cat is called Pia but we only call her the Old Cat.
2. She is about 11 now and we actually got our other cats because we thought she would die soon (that was three years ago) since she is kind of sick and has liver cancer but no, she keeps on living.
3. We got her with her sister who was significantly cooler than her but got run over (this is a recurring theme with our cats)
4. She’s almost deaf and looks like a loaf of bread.
5. She has a habit of lying in the middle of stairs and will expect the humans to step around/over her which is fine but once I was carrying something down the stairs and full-on stepped on her but she wasn’t hurt.
extra, and very fun fact
6. I once woke up to her puking on my bed and I don’t think I’ve ever woken up faster.
Cat#2
1. She’s called Frieda and we got her with two siblings three years ago.
2. She’s very often referred to as the Princess because she’s very pretty and she’s the only regular cat we have since her brother got run over.
3. She is the coolest cat.
4. She is incapable of eating out of the same bowl as the other cats because they’re both weaker than her and she’ll bully them out of the way.
5. There was some confusion about the genders (sexes?) of the cats when we got them because we were told they were all girls but then we were like “no that’s a penis” and they all looked super alike when they were little so at first Frieda was called Frieder which was obviously super easy to switch to Frieda.
Cat#3
1. cat#3 is called Polly and looks like a furry pear when viewed from any angle.
2. We got her for free because she is almost blind and she needed to have surgery on one of her eyelids.
3. I was actually the one to give her the name Polly because at first we thought she only had one eye, and you know who else only has one eye? The cyclops Polyphemus in Homer’s Odyssey. And the cat version of Polyphemus is obviously Polly.
4. Polly is best buds with the Old Cat.
5. Polly can’t retract her claws and has a very distinctive style of climbing down from things, which involves her holding on the thing she’s sitting on and swinging her body around to land super gracefully in a heap on the thing below her.
19. Five facts about you right now (it could be what you’re wearing, how you’re feeling, what you’re doing).
1. I’m wearing an oversized Hard Rock Cafe Cayman Islands T-shirt that nobody will ever know is, in fact, a souvenir from when I was in New York this summer.
2. Hanna and I were at a party yesterday and I have weird bruises and/or blisters on my legs and feet and the glitter is slowly abating.
3. I’m doing No Shave November so I’m nice and fuzzy.
4. I’ll have to get up at like 8 tomorrow so I should go to bed soon.
5. which won’t be much of an effort because I have already brushed my teeth and am actually already in bed.
