Halfling: Vaalie gives zero shits about a person’s parentage. If you’re a half-breed, you’re a half-breed. She cares more about what you do than who you are. When she was young, she had this impression from her upbringing that diluting a bloodline by having a halfbreed child was bad, but she never really reconciled that with anyone she knew.
Inn: When Vaalie stays at an inn, like when she does anything else, she keeps to herself as much as possible. She will go to the bar, get her room and something to eat, then spend the rest of her visit in her room. As far as food goes, she prefers to keep it simple. Bread and cheese, maybe an apple or something, and wine. She doesn’t drink anything stronger than wine, which can be tricky in Skyrim.
--- The late evening sun hung low over the horizon, casting Solitude in murky shadow. A gray sky above let loose soft, gentle snow, each flake gleaming in the twilight hour.
He watched it fall from within the comforts of the Winking Skeever, having taken up residence by the window for the night. The mer seemed almost picturesque, an image of serenity --- donned in noble attire and brandishing openly his elven stature, today was to be a day taken as respite from his normal schedule of constant travel.
No plans, no hunts. Just a crackling fire, the scent of wine, and the murmur of jovial tavern-goers. Almost therapeutic in and of itself. Though, he could do without the occasional glances and loudly whispered mutters of “altmer” and “elf,” the words dripping with all the severity of a proper curse.
Ah, but how are they to know? He mused, turning back to the window. Our similarities are striking enough to fool even true Altmer.
It was then Varondil noted the rather outstanding High Elf across the inn, from the corner of his gaze; perhaps it was the drink(of which he was on his third cup of Cyrodilic brandy) but he felt unnaturally conversational at the moment. A soft gesture, barely a wave really --- hoping to catch the womer’s eye.
Companions: Does your character have any close friends or traveling companions?
[➹ :: OOC: тнє diviиє ] - (( Several, actually. Any of the members from the Companions is welcome to accompany him on his many endeavors. Serana is also a close friend whom he loves to travel with. Anyone is welcome really, as long as they can defend themselves. ))
Jarl: How does your muse address royalty? Would they carry out an order at the request of a Jarl?
[➹ :: OOC: тнє diviиє ] - (( With immense respect, he knows that their title is difficult to bare at times. However, he has a particular disdain towards Kings and Jarls whom talk a great deal but do very little. His loyalty is usually unconditional with a few exceptions, and he expects the same in return. No matter the power dynamic.
Honestly, it would depend on the Jarl, and the order given. He is acquaintances with many of the Jarls, but not all of them. He would gladly do the bidding of say- Jarl Balgruuf, because he knows him personally. He would most likely do the same for Jarl Elisif or Jarl Ulfric, but Maksyr has made it ABUNDANTLY clear that he will refuse any order that involves him aiding the war effort. Maksyr has lent his axe to bounties and any problem of the townsfolk, but will not pursue any work that involves taking a side in the war. ))
Unfortunately no, he knows the very basics but that’s all and if at a ball (or something that involves dancing) he’ll stand awkwardly by the wall so he doesn’t embarrass himself.
(´-`).。oO( ... ) :What does your muse think about a lot?
Besides thinking about the war, Tullius has spent considerable amounts of time thinking about his choices in life and his future which usually doesn’t turn out so well and he ends up feeling awful.
Education: Did they receive a formal education growing up, or did they learn a trade from their parent(s)?
Quite the formal education. Being the son of an Ayleid noble he was well-versed in high society and elven culture, as expected of nobility. Of course, at some point during that process he seemed to have acquired a love of conquest; perhaps it was inherent in his blood.
Faction: Is your character a part of any guilds?
Not particularly. Varondil once dabbled with the mages guild, before they disbanded. Occasionally, he does business with the college when coming across ancient tomes and texts in his travels to make some extra gold, but he is not a student.
Currently, he runs with the dark brotherhood as an associate/ally; he isn’t keen on murder-for-hire, surprisingly enough, but he finds the present generation of assassins in Skyrim to be interesting company. Personally, he has a vested interest in Babette, and tends to treat her as a child despite her advanced age.
Vows: Is your muse married? If not, what would it take for them to finally don an amulet of Mara?
Once upon a time. It is a sore topic, and one he is hesitant to approach. His vampirism is the cause of the separation, and by now most surely his wife and child are long-dead. For him to remarry would take quite a bit of time and effort, especially considering his longevity and hesitation to form romantic bonds. Occasional trysts however aren’t that uncommon, but nothing that lasts long for one reason or the other.
Beauty: How does your character tend to their appearance? Do they wear any special armor or clothing during their day to day activities?
“I have learned a fair amount of crafting during the years.” Spending centuries doing nothing would be a waste of time. Crafting, smithing, building-- he had read a fair amount of everything in his lifetime.
“I do resort to wearing Dwemer armor, for it is what I am most familiar with. Tending to it is quite easier than if I were to wear something made by Nords or Orsimer. It makes repair and upkeep easier, therefor functional, and less likely to break.”
Daedra: Who is their patron? If they don’t worship anyone, then what’s there stance on Daedra worship in general?
A grunt of annoyance escaped his gritted teeth. Truth be told, the less he spoke of that lot, the better.
“If someone is mathematically inept to trade an object of innumerable value-- in this case a soul-- for something that has such a limited value-- like worldly power--, then they deserve to be tricked and fooled by the Daedric princes. I do not want to speak of this subject further. Move on.”
War: Has your character ever fought in any wars? If they haven’t then what’s there opinion on the current affairs in Skyrim? Do they back the Imperials or the Stormcloaks?
“I have fought and survived a fair amount of battles.” The War of the Crag remained a fresh wound in his mind. Even to this day, he could hear the fighting-- the clashing of steel and he could smell the carnage left behind.
However, the freshest memory in his mind had to be the aftermath. After that hell had been over, he walked through the now empty streets of Fal Zhardum din, littered with corpses and broken machinery.
Inn: What *does a typical visit to an inn entail for your character? What foods do they normally order?
If he’s staying for the night, then he orders his room with his meal/first drink. Too many times he’s tried to order a room only to find out that he drank away too much gold and had to sleep in an alleyway for the night (which he’s not particularly fond of doing).
Food and drinks vary on province, but usually it’s whatever local cuisine is available, accompanied with plenty of booze. Rarely has he come across dishes too adventurous for his palate, so it usually works out. He’ll order a little extra meat if he can afford it, and if not meat, then bread.

Xenophobia: Is your character racist? How do they feel about the racism plaguing Skyrim?
Yes and no. When he was younger, anything that wasn’t Argonian he distrusted greatly (due to the fact that his first encounter with non-Argonians, he was kidnapped and put into slavery, with all the not-fun that came with it). As he got older he slowly chilled out as he had positive and negative experiences with non-Argonians. Nowadays the most he gets is a mild wariness around Altmer, the initial unsureness if they’re involved with the Thalmor or not, but it usually passes relatively quickly.
Halatrix doesn’t really care either way. So a Nord marries an Orc, ain’t nothing wrong with that.
Xenophobia: Is your character racist? How do they feel about the racism plaguing Skyrim?
Halatrix grew up in Stros M’kai so no, she is very worldly. She’s seen the best and worse of all the races. While she does hate the racism in Skyrim, she can’t say it’s completely unfounded; She believes the extent that it’s reached is over the top.
