Hello! My name is Rosette, but I go by Rosie. My pronouns are she/her and l am a femme lesbian. At work I go by Sparkles Evergreen and according to the Fairy Name Generator in The Girls’ Book of Flower Fairies inspired by the world of Cicely Mary Barker my Fairy name is Strawberry Silver-Wand. I am an educator and a self-published author and poet. I want to use this platform to share my new work Eleusinianland as it evolves piece by piece and engage with my readers as we build this world together through asks, feedback, headcanons, and any fan works.
Eleusinianland is a story exploring identity, sisterhood/motherhood, psychosomaticism, spirituality, the occult, epilepsy, delusions, mythology, agoraphobia, maladaptive daydreaming, the uncanny, and the intricate world of the Fae.
The story is set throughout the labyrinth of "fairy doors" located in Ann Arbor Michigan, as well as the vast Faerie realm Ephaestron. Sisters Rubina and Kalina must navigate the metaphysical juxtaposed to the stark reality of their non-traditional childhood with the guidance of Lilac, a fairy doll rescued by a young Rubina who enlightens the girls to another world full of whimsy and imagination. When their two worlds begin to bleed together, Ruby and Kalina must come to understand themselves and each other in order to overcome a dark force and preserve the kingdom of Ephaestron and their very personhood as it unravels.
