Reflections on Likes, Tweets & Hashtags

Tagal nang hanging ng post na to. Mga 1 week na. Hahahaha.

Anyway, eto yung series sa Elevate Makati, 2 weeks ago. I'll cut this short. Kasi reflections lang naman. So for more info about the message here's Kuya Enzo's blog about it.

So eto yung mga thoughts ko about it. 

Para saken, there's no such thing as "the social media world". It's an epidemic. Ang hirap iwasan. Almost everybody's infected. I saw a post once on facebook, It says, :"Can you live without facebook?" Syempre kahit active ako sa facebook. First answer ko pa rin yes. Pero nung tiniginan ko yung comments. Andaming nagsagot ng no. Nakakainis. Kasi parang nilelevel ng mga tao yung tanong na yun sa "Can you live without Jesus?" (Kasi nababasa ko rin yung question na 'to on a post on fb. pero diba?)

Kung may issues na diniscuss si Kuya Enzo. Ako rin. Hiho. Yung tipong napagisip isip ko after listening to the message.

Personal Issues

Ang dami kong narealize dito. Nireview ko past accounts ko on facebook and tumblr. Lalo na mga 2-3 years ago. Grabe mga posts ko. :(( Ang vulgar. Ang revealing. Ang inappropriate. Ang bitter. Ang harsh. Hindi lahat ganun. Pero MOSTLY. Although di ko naman pinagsisisihan yun kasi ganun ako dati. Hindi ko rin dineactivate ang mga ito. Pero hindi ko na ginagamit. Memories rin ito para sa akin. Memories that I can learn from.

Relationship Issues

Recently, nag-away kami ng dad ko. Through facebook then yung isa through text. Grabe. Makikita talaga na ang laki ng effect ng pagmemediate ng facbook/phone sa misunderstanding.

This is not a current issue about me. Pero nangyari to sakin. I was in a relationshipBEFORE na walang privacy. Accessible lahat ng accounts ko sakanya. And what does this cause? Away. Sa bestfriend ko rin na ganto ang relationship. Madalas ay facebook ang pinag-aawayan or dahil sa nakikita sa facebook ang pinag-aawayan.

The social media is a convenience to this modern world. Somehow it's still an epidemic 'cause one way or another it destroys. Teka baka medicine ang social media. Medicine na may side effect. Hahaha.
