The realm of Elfheim is the dimension where the elves were first created before some of them began populating the Earth as well. Although the elves walked this planet many ages ago, back before written history (although some of their elven deities were incorporated into human religions; one example is the goddess Epona). The Nords were one of the few peoples who were aware of this ancient knowledge, perhaps granted by a deity.
The elves are an extremely beautiful and wise race who are deeply connected with the land and live in tribes. They have a deep reverence for nature and seek harmony with the land, taking only what they need. When they roamed the Earth, the humans had become deeply envious and hateful towards the elves due to their advanced prowess in the magickal arts. This caused a mass genocide against the elves and the humans slaughtered, raped, and enslaved this species until they were gradually wiped out from this planet. Now the only ones who roam here are in spirit, but are very withdrawn and angry towards humanity.
If you would like to work with the elves, it is best that you show deep respect towards them (especially if your higher self is a human spirit). You can also consider working with elven deities if they allow you to; some of them are Onda (goddess of wisdom and prophecy), Naedros (god of justice and revenge), and Naenndya (goddess of spring).
