Bored and currently watching Disenchantment again, Love’s Slimy Embrace, and wanted to share some thoughts. Spoilers for a later episode. When Derek met Slimy, a little one-eyed octopus he befriended from a tide pool, like so small, Derek could cup him in his hand, but when he showed Elfo later (according to Derek, he’d been visiting him for four day.) he got bigger, Derek sounded surprised when he saw he was bigger, I thought he was growing when Derek wasn’t around, but now that I’m thinking about it, that’s not it. Before Slimy showed himself to Elfo and Derek, Derek gave him some pink goo from an old dusty bottle he and Elfo found behind a broken wall in the way to the beach, later, we learned those bottles are the Trøg’s Sacred Goo and it, in the Trøg’s words, “It’s not what you WANT, it’s what you DESERVE!”. I think that Trøg Goo made him bigger, because it was what he deserved.
