One thing that's fun working in LaCE-land is considering how that affects elven societies. If the species is obligatorily monogamous and having sex means you get married*, eternal soulbond and all, how does that play out? What do romance novels look like, or erotica? Do married couples have smutty statues of themselves in their library? What are the stigmas around sex, or are there any about sex itself? What about sex parties? (Why yes, I have thoughts on LaCE-compliant sex parties.)

Okay, elfporn is finished (at six pages, and after all in all three climaxes and a lot of awkwardly fancy dirty talk, though I suck at endings), now I just need to give it a second read and wait for my betareader to show up from the depths of oblivion :3

One thing I really like about fanfiction

is that I have to worry a lot less about suspense arcs than with original fiction

Like, I can write two full pages about Lindir washing Elrond, and it does absolute jack shit for the plot

But that's just really no issue in PWP

and that's awesome.
