As if I couldn't love @elfcosmetics anymore. Nothing is better than a beauty company that provides quality beauty products at low cost. I was able to try their Hydrating Bubble Mask, Matte lip color, Mineral infused primer, lip exfoliator and Baked Highlighter/Bronzer absolutely free in my @influenster ELFVoxbox and I was highly impressed with the intense color of the matte lip color, the reduction of facial lines and smoothness of the skin with the mineral primer, the simplicity and softness of the skin left by the Bubble Mask and the way the highlighter made my cheekbones pop! Definitely purchasing these products!

Influenster Review: e.l.f.

Hi! Long time no Brit blog. I missed a November OMG, LOVE! - it’s been crazy and I’m the worst. I’ll make sure December is a good one and actually happens! 

Today I’m also crossing something off that been on my todo list for a long time - reviewing these products from e.l.f. that Influenster sent me to try for free!

Influenster is an awesome community that works with brands who send products to people who are willing to share their opinions about them. I promise to always be 100% honest with my thoughts and opinions on products! I have gotten some really great products in the past and some that I haven’t loved as much. It doesn’t mean that the products or brands themselves are terrible, it just means that it didn’t work for me. Everyone is different and has different experiences with things! I think that is part of my fascination with trying new products. If you’re interested in checking Influenster out go here!

When I got the notification I was going to be participating in the e.l.f. (stands for Eyes Lips Face if you didn’t know!) VoxBox (that’s what your Influenster packages are called) I was pumped. E.l.f. holds a near and dear place in my heart. It was basically the first makeup brand that I used and experimented with when I started to really get into makeup. My first makeup brushes were a set from e.l.f. (some I still use to this day!) and you just can’t go wrong with the price point. If you’re new to makeup or even if you’re not and you just want to try a crazy color or new trend, I highly recommend trying e.l.f. - you won’t break the bank if it doesn’t work out and you may just find a dupe for a more expensive product if it does!

I had been hearing through social (especially YouTube) that e.l.f. was coming out with an expanded skincare line. I got to try some of those products and a few more, here are my for reals thoughts on them! 

e.l.f. Mineral Infused Primer ($6) - I got really into using primers in the summer when I was traveling a lot and going to things like weddings and parties where I wanted my makeup to really last throughout the day. It pretty much become a part of my daily routine and I was excited to try this Mineral Face Primer version from e.l.f. since it is significantly cheaper than some of the others I’d been using. It feels really nice on the skin and I have definitely seen a difference in how long my makeup stays on when I have this underneath. Plus, it’s clear so I’ve also been putting it alllll over my face including my eyelids as an eyeshadow primer! 

e.l.f Hydrating Bubble Mask ($14) - I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical of this when I was reading the directions. “How is it just going to start bubbling on my face?” Well, I don’t know what kind of magic trickery is in that little container, but it does indeed bubble. It feels super refreshing and moisturizing! I keep this right in my shower and pop it on when I’m washing my hair or shaving my legs. I used to think using masks was time consuming and honestly too messy. I love that I can use this one right in the shower and in less time, without compromising the positive effects. 

e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator - I had heard about this product and it was actually on my list of things to pick up! I have been loving liquid lipsticks and liners lately and sometimes they are kind of a bee to get off. As with the mask, I wanted to try something I could do in the shower that wouldn’t make a mess or irritate other parts of my face. The packaging of this is genius - it looks like a regular lipstick in a tube - and it has a lovely, cooling mint smell. It has worked great for me and is only $3! 

e.l.f. Matte Lip Color ($3) - The color I got to try in this matte lip color is Wine and it is gorgeous!! It comes in a twist up crayon and goes on really smooth. You can apply just a little for a lip tint effect, or really build it up to more of a matte lipstick. I’m definitely going to check this line out in other shades (like Tea Rose and Mulberry Maven) - they are only $3!

e.l.f. Cosmetics Baked Highlighter & Bronzer ($4) - Instead of using these as a face highlight and bronzer, I’ve been using them as eyeshadows! They weren’t pigmented enough to come up on my face (and the bronzer is a bit more shimmery than I like to go for everyday wear) but they work perfectly on my eyes! I definitely think the primer helps to bring out color and make it last longer on my lid, too.

Thank you e.l.f. and Influesnter for sending these to me to try! I had fun testing and playing around with them! : ) I just got a VoxBox from L'Oréal EverCurl and used it tonight for the first time - more to come on that!
