i got a lil sad reading your tags on your last ask so i decided to ask you some questions simply cos i think you're so lovely and interesting! what would you name your future elflings (if your light would have no say in the thing)? how would you furnish your future dream home? which of the Finwians would you marry if you could? which languages would you love to speak? what is your favorite word? and your favorite sound? and, mostly importantly hehe, boys w/ long light hair or long dark hair? :)

For girls, I fancy Luna, Johanna, Olivia, Elenwen and Míriel (it sounds an awful lot like my own name though so it could get confusing)! I haven’t given much thought to boy names because the only one that seems right to me is Andreas, and I am not very knowledgeable about elven boy names so! If they turn out to be a different gender later on or wish to change their names I’d like to help as well~

Hmmm. I am always torn between the stars, the warm light and the trees, aesthetically speaking, so I’ll give answers for each one!!

stars - there are fountains in the rooms. lots of silk and moonlight. it’s pretty under daylight, but is brought to life only after the sun sets. the lights are white and silvery and very soft so it always feels like you’re not quite in earth, even while doing mundane tasks like dish-washing or floor cleaning. I have a huge jacuzzi where I like to take long baths with the curtains open and look at the night sky. inside the closet, I put hundreds of stars that glow in the dark, it’s really pretty. I don’t need to wear clothes all the time. it’s always spring. I have fourteen different fluttery white nightgowns. I braid my hair, sing and dance in the garden. usually, at breakfast, we eat fresh fruit, bowls of yoghurt and cereals and drink clear cool water and iced tea. I run my fingers down his spine while he’s sleeping.

trees - everything is very soothing. the furniture is mostly wooden. I have mossy rugs and earth-toned things everywhere. there’s a river by my house and I use feng-shui to neutralise the energies it brings. The lamps are the warm, orangey ones, and it looks like a perfectly preserved yet abandoned temple in an open cave. There is this nice aviary outside so since many birds like to go there, there is always the chatter of birds. during winter, everyone sits by the fireplace to read together, eat, play cards, tell stories, laugh and take naps. There, I wear lots of green and brown. My hair is always down. the children shower outside after their adventures because their feet are always muddy and cleaning wooden floors is not that easy. I only need one fluffy blanket when it’s cold because there is someone to keep me warm.

light - my flowers are everywhere, blossoming more beautifully each day. there’s an unfinished cross stitch piece on the sofa, and the light of afternoon falls on it.  I am baking a cake, and the children are taking a nap. They’re not as small anymore, but in my heart, they will always be, at least a little bit. he’s outside, taking care of the plants and our dog is happily laying under the shadow of the big tree. the windows are big and have wooden frames, and the curtains are made of white gossamer with lace details. it smells very fresh. I put fresh flowers in every vase once a week. the books room is very cozy but it has gathered a little dust because we have been travelling a lot. my bike has ribbons and flowers attached to it, and a small hay basket. the fields are always beautiful. he kisses my shoulder “good morning”, every morning.

I really really want to learn German!!! Slavic languages sound nice and Italian is sooo flowy so them too!!!! I love languages I want to communicate as much as possible~

my fav word came to be “lovely” because it also was Hans Christian Andersen’s favourite word and I love him so I love it. I also love “shimmer”, and “komorebi” (jap) and “scintilla” (latin) and coincidentally enough, feeëriek, that you know what means since it’s dutch!!!

my favourite sound is the wind on leaves, like when there are many trees and it just makes that “swoosh” sound. aaaah. and people I love laughing. that’s the best sound.

that’s very important!!!!! since we can all agree that long hair is best, I find that I like light-haired male beings much more. the lighter, the better, actually - I think it’s so pretty and rare and wonderful. like eugeniy saunchanka
