My finished shield! This is my counterpart to a similar design I did back in September (if anyone remembers a wooden shield with a tree and a bishop chess piece). Obviously mine is a much more feminine design. The red jewel on the top is a ruby, my birthstone. The knight piece half symbolizes my love for horses, and half symbolizes one of my personality quirks. (If you know how a knight moves in an L shape on a chess board, well, I get easily distracted and randomly change direction, so there you go!). The shape is based off of the shield of the elves from Lord of the Rings. Blue is my favorite color, and finally the quote around the edges is my favorite quote from the Lord of the Rings books. It would be cool to get this as a tattoo on my back one day! I don't know if it will ever happen, though. Finished the drawing I had been working on! Done during down time at work all week. It's a tattoo design my husband wants for his back. I haven't attempted any level of realism for awhile, so this was fun! Now to prepare for Inktober!

Inktober Day 24: "Blind" This is posted really late because I didn't work on it till I got home from work because I was using downtime and breaks for another project. For this one I drew my main World of Warcraft character that I play. Though I haven't played in awhile. She's blind, having lost her eyes, but can see with magic. I thought she would be cool to draw.

Inktober Day 5 "Long". In a way it's almost a self portrait, because this is how LONG my hair has actually gotten. I used a white gel pen, smudged a bit, to add a bit more depth to the hair.

It started as random pose doodle, which turned into "let's add a dragon!", which turned into "I'll doodle the final fight of one of my characters" which turned into "I'm going to practice inking and making my lines better and using different thickness of lines". Which ended with me staring at this piece in front of me that (awkward pose aside), I was rather impressed with. Anyway, here is King Brandonir is his final moment killing the dragon driven mad by the Dragonscar. I'm thinking of coloring it later.

Original character concept portraits for a comic idea. Titled "Dragon Fall", it's set in Elshador several hundred years after the events of the Dragonscar Chronicles. A fantasy romance, these are the two main characters. The girl's name is Amaryllis (Amy for short). The guy I have narrowed down 3 names that I'm having a hard time picking between (Blaise, Garrett, or Dorian). More concept sketches for Dragon Fall to come.

The first installment of what I hope to be a weekly or perhaps bi-weekly comic about my life with my husband. He's starting a YouTube channel called 1LastQuest (I made his icon and posted it earlier), so putting that and Elfy together, it's Elfy's Quest! (And no, my quest is not just to teabag him). I already have a second comic almost ready, just needs colored! I also have a notebook that I have been writing down idea in and I have enough for like half a year (if I do just weekly). Put two geeky quirky gamers together, you get a lot of antics. Yes, I have actually teabagged him, and that was pretty much his reaction. Drawn and inking traditionally, colored digitally.
