Inktober Day 10: "Gigantic". The dragon is from my story, and for size comparison, the black spot is another character of normal human size with wings. He is quite a GIGANTIC dragon. For the inking I put a bit more time into it, obviously, with adding details of scales, but at the same time I did a rougher style. I guess you could say I started running out of patience for the scales. I could probably keep going on it for a long time, but I'll calling it done here.

Inktober Day 6. Theme: "sword". I was originally going to do Aragorn's sword Anduril, but changed my mind. Did the sword of the character Briella from my story. The rose and wings are her family crest. This one is a bit sloppier, did it in a very short amount of time.

Inktober day 2 "Divided" The other drawings for the rest of the month might not be this detailed, but here you have this one. I give you Xavier(left) and Gamreal(right) Th'gil. Twin brothers who, through betrayal, become bitter enemies. Theirs is a sad story as they become pitted against each other. One goes on to be an antagonists, the other a protagonist. They are characters in my Dragonscar Chronicles.

I hath been tagged by @ancient-trees yet again! I’m scared of this, because I haven’t looked at my first lines in too long! Okay, let’s see... I could do favorite lines, but I’ll do first line. Okay.

Dragonscar Chronicles

Book 1: Thornheart

Alyss sat with anticipation inside the circle of candles, the only light in the bare room.

Book 2: Oathblade

In the land of Elshador, there is a country that is left alone by all others, disregarded and ignored, save for when its inhabitants invite other in.

Book 3: Dragonscar

Smoke filled the air, making it thick to breath, and sight limited.

King Aladdan and Queen Aurora stepped onto the high balcony together, high enough to see over the walls around the castle yard and the people beyond.

Those are my main stories that I can think of right now. (And yes, I have 3 of the 4 books of the Dragonscar Chronicles being worked on at once kinda. It’s all so interlocking, it’s almost easier that way. And once it’s in order, then the full write through will begin! Though in a way I’m writing end to beginning right now. Though current content to both Oathblade and Thornheart are the product of NaNoWriMo so has much extra content and long descriptions that were meant purely for reaching the 50k word count.

It started as random pose doodle, which turned into "let's add a dragon!", which turned into "I'll doodle the final fight of one of my characters" which turned into "I'm going to practice inking and making my lines better and using different thickness of lines". Which ended with me staring at this piece in front of me that (awkward pose aside), I was rather impressed with. Anyway, here is King Brandonir is his final moment killing the dragon driven mad by the Dragonscar. I'm thinking of coloring it later.

Original character concept portraits for a comic idea. Titled "Dragon Fall", it's set in Elshador several hundred years after the events of the Dragonscar Chronicles. A fantasy romance, these are the two main characters. The girl's name is Amaryllis (Amy for short). The guy I have narrowed down 3 names that I'm having a hard time picking between (Blaise, Garrett, or Dorian). More concept sketches for Dragon Fall to come.
