I've been recently gifted this by a dear elderly friend of mine (he's in his 90s). It was his wife's mother's original Elgin wrist pocket watch (first of its kind), and is estimated to be approximately between 100-110 years old...and it still ran!
I just got it back from being fully restored, and idk why but I feel so happy to have it back and fully functional! And it fits perfectly on my tiny wrist!
I don't know what it is about vintage pieces like this (especially ones from over a century ago) but there is something so unique about them when they are in your possession.
It's as though you can almost feel the time period they came from!
I feel very privileged to own and wear it.
(Yes I will be wearing this when I see VITA & VIRGINIA)
