Maya and Kaitlyn eventually did visit Miko and Salim and the topic of how Hugo asked Luna out earlier and how Kaitlyn and Maya both want Luna to just focus on being a kid and not on dating came up
Maya: Anyways, I hope you guys understand why Luna turned him down, Kaitlyn and I just want Luna to focus on being a kid right now, you know?
Salim: I understand, I feel the same for Evie and Hugo but Miko thinks I’m being too ‘old fashioned’ and that they should date if they feel ready now (he and Miko exchange a playful but slightly strained look)
Miko: Yeah, Hugo came home yesterday and he was so sad that Luna didn’t want to go with him to the dance. He’s apparently had a crush on her forever
Kaitlyn: Ha ha, alright. Um, I just don’t want Luna to be pressured into being with him, you know how it is when two groups of parents keep telling their respective kids they should date each other and how cute it’d be and all that. I don’t want that for Luna, I want her to choose who to be with and to be honest she talked to me afterwards and told me she doesn’t like Hugo like that
Miko: Whoa, whoa. (half jokingly) When did I say Luna had to be with my son? I completely understand your guys’ choice and Luna’s as well (Maya, Salim, Miko and Kaitlyn exchange awkward glances)
Kaitlyn: ...You’re right, sorry Miko, I just tend to get overprotective cause Luna is my and Maya’s only baby and we love her so much. I just don’t want Luna to grow up too fast, you know?
Miko: It’s alright Kaitlyn, I understand
