"Come here Cashie, come on, time to see your new home!" Meet Cashie, my lovable kitten and likely the most adorable creature you'll ever see. He expects the world to move for his needs and I can't blame him for that. We all should expect the world to move for us. Cats are just honest about it.
"Meow!" Cashie squeals as he struts back and forth, showing the world his perfect coat and his perfect walk.
"Come in here before a hawk swoops you up or something," they have been known to do that you know.
Why wait until the new year to try something new? Let's end this one with a bang!

[Dulce and Antonio returned to Del Sol Valley for just one day before rising early the following morning to take a short two-hour drive to the mountains.]
[Fortunately, these two are early birds. So, they had plenty of energy to start snowboarding upon arrival!]
[Dulce feels like she could fit right into the Totally Spies team with her purple outfit. Meanwhile, Antonio is more bundled up because he gets cold easily.]
{Moodlet: Sad +1; Need More Practice; (From Poor Snowboarding); There were a couple good moments, but overall Dulce is not happy with her performance snowboading out on the slopes. Some extra practice is in order!}
{Moodlet: Sad +1; What a Biff!; (From Imperfect Snowboarding); Well Antonio just isnβt that tricky, unfortunately. Maybe he should stick to snowboarding videogames!}
Break Time!
After a much-needed calorie refuel...
{Moodlet: Energized +1; Shreddinβ the Gnar; (From Having a Perfect Run); That was so wicked cool! Dulce just had a perfect snowboarding run.}
[Of course, they exhausted themselves. Endurance doesnβt last forever. The plan now is to recharge before heading to a restaurant to celebrate the last day of winter.]
[However, Dulce canβt rest. She suspects that tonight could hold more significance.]
The girls are completing their milestones, and they are now babbling! Simon is extremely close to opening the wine store but still doesn't have a name for it.
If you have any name suggestions, please let me know.
The bokeh returned!!!

Sims In Bloom: Generation 3 Pt. 62 (Buzz of the Ballroom)
Lady Mimsy and Lord Bernard Shallot of Ravenwood were happy and thriving in their mansion in Crow's Crossing. Growing more accustomed to the strange town every day, they certainly weren't unnerved by ghosts the way visitors to their old estate in Windenburg used to be, and they greeted surly young Edith with warm smiles when she would wander away from her well every now and then. (Glitch, I think, but also I liked seeing her wander by Bernard, who just said 'hey' and carried on like a wandering ghost girl is nbd.)
The Shallots fit in well as Ravenwood nobility, but they were still making a name for themselves in their new home, all while raising their two children, Lord Albert and Lady Charlotte.
He was a better father this time around, though he was conscious not to neglect his firstborn, Albie. He was his heir, after all, and he would one day wear the weight of their family's noble causes.
They got their fill of royal gossip when they were added to the Noble News mailing list, which sent society pages to their door every season. Mimsy read at the breakfast table while Albert washed up for school, and Bernard made sure their youngest, little Charlotte, hit her infant milestones.
Mimsy doted on her children as much as ever, baking a cake for Charlotte's second birthday and helping her son with all his schoolwork - but she did take time to herself to breeze through the immensely popular Buzz of Desire book series.
She could remember living old fashioned customs like those described in the books. Bernard said it was a period piece, but to Mimsy it felt more familiar and contemporary. Nobility held on to old traditions as much as they could, but the Shallots had quickly realized modern nobles tended to be a little more common. Some of them were even Simtubers.
The Shallots couldn't really wrap their minds around social media, so they stuck to trying to be generous and upstanding members of their new hometown. But today was about their daughter's toddler birthday.
Bernard brought Charlotte to the cake while Mimsy waited in the kitchen. "Is that a birthday cake, my love?"
"The Noble News said cheesecake is all the rage for birthdays this year. They included a recipe I had to try."
Chubby-cheeked Charlotte didn't care what kind of cake she had, but her eyes grew three sizes as her parents sang "Hopple Borfna" and instructed her to blow.
And when the family sat down to enjoy their cake, she chose the floor. Bernard allowed it with gentle silence - today was her birthday, and little Lady Charlotte could do whatever she wanted.
Albie chatted away with different facts about cheese, while Bernard tasted the creamy and delicious birthday cake. Mimsy offered her husband a loving smile.
"The Noble News was right, my love. As a birthday cake, cheesecake is an inspired choice!"
Lady Mimsy was especially generous with the descendants of her sister, Maude Alcorn Ruggbyrne. Fourteen-year-old Jasper Psyded, the tall and handsome son of Lilith Pleasant and Felix Psyded, Esquire, was interested in learning to waltz, and Mimsy was more than happy to teach him her favourite dance.
The house was usually chaotic when Jasper showed up for his lessons. Albie would practice piano, and Charlotte would cry for attention until Albie's music made her want to dance. She was too young to waltz, but she'd bop around to the music as long as she was sure someone was watching her move.
Bernard jumped between practicing moves of his own and entertaining Charlotte, while Mimsy focused on teaching Jasper.
"You really think this will help me impress Iris Gordon?" he asked. "She said everyone in the Buzz of Desire books knows how to waltz."
"Of course it will!" said Mimsy. "You'll be as refined as The Admiral after a few more lessons."
"Iris says The Admiral is kind of toxic. She says the gardener is the real gentleman, and he's better at waltzing than anybody."
"The gardener?" Bernard scoffed and turned up his nose.
"The gardener really is quite the gentleman, Bernard. He's common, but not uncouth. Like young Jasper!"
"If you say so," grumbled Bernard.
"It would be nice to have a reason to use these waltzing skills...with Iris," Jasper mused, while Albie struggled to play the piano. "At a grand ball like in book seven."
"A ball would be wonderful," agreed Mimsy, and her gaze turned to her husband. "Perhaps we should throw one, Bernard."
Bernard liked the idea, but he looked around their home with a frown. "We're still renovating these hallowed halls," he reminded her. "What good is a ball to impress the nobility if our home isn't perfect, my love?"
"I just want to impress Iris," said Jasper.
"We can't have a ball just to impress a common girl from Brindleton Bay."
"Without Iris' family's help, we wouldn't be able to host a ball at all," reminded Mimsy. "But your art is selling well, and we could certainly work to improve the grounds. I'm sure we could even time it to coincide with the debut of the new TV series, which gives us at least a year."
Jasper's hopeful smile faltered. "A year?"
"You can keep her interested for a year," insisted Bernard. "In my first life, women and men yearned for years, exchanging letters and travelling to see one another by train or by boat."
"He's only fourteen, Bernard. There's more than enough time for him to court Iris Gordon, if she's interested."
"The Psydeds could arrange their betrothal with the Gordons tomorrow," he argued, but Mimsy laughed.
"Modern parents don't arrange their children's marriages as often as they used to, especially outside the nobility."
Jasper looked between them with confusion. "What are you guys even talking about?"
Mimsy smiled. "Nothing, my dear. Bernard and I will throw a ball. We'll invite the nobility, the whole town of Ravenwood, and the Gordons will be our personal guests of honour. But grand balls take time to plan, and we'll want to put on the best event possible for everyone who decides to attend. It will take time."
"And until then, I'll teach you how to keep Miss Gordon intrigued with romance the old fashioned way. Back when courting really meant something."
"Oh, Bernard," scolded Mimsy. "It just means something different these days."
Albie interrupted from the piano, letting out a mildly disgruntled sigh as his hand slipped over the wrong keys. "If you're done waltzing, could you please stop talking over my piano practice?"
So Bernard took Jasper upstairs to teach him about chess and old fashioned chivalry, and Jasper listened intently.
"So if I send her letters every month with different items from the books, she'll know I like her?"
Bernard chuckled at the naive but heartsick young man. "Effort, my boy. It's the key to a woman's heart. You're already showing an interest in her interests, but a little mystery and intrigue will keep her checking the mailbox just to hear from you."
"You think so?"
"I know so," he said, as Jasper moved his rook across the board.
Bernard's jaw dropped as Jasper chuckled. "Thanks for the advice, Lord Shallot, but...checkmate, sir." ->

NOTE: Just to clarify, Iris' birthday is in the next episode. She and Jasper aged up to teens on the same day (Jasper in the very early morning, then Iris' birthday happened that same night), but I plotted Iris' birthday wrong in the story timeline. I wanted her to age up after Lavender had been in Evergreen Harbour for a while, to get situated and establish herself and Gen 3's world, so instead of her teen birthday being her 13th, as usual, Iris will be turning 14, officially, even though she'll be aging up from her child form. Lots of 13-year-olds look 12, so it just works.
But I want to clarify that now so people know Jasper and Iris are actually the same age, even though I teased teen Jasper on my Father's Day post before Lavender even arrived in Evergreen Harbour. That pic was from the future! (Teen Iris was also in that post, sleeping in bed and facing the wall where her Buzz of Desire books are, but I knew no one would notice so I kept it in.)
Gabby is 19 and has recently run away to Gibbi Point. If you ask her what one of her childhood formative moments are, she'd say grief survivor. After her mother died, for years it was just her & her dad, who started to become dependent on mind-altering juices. She couldn't take the chaos anymore, so she packed whatever clothes she could fit into one bag and disappeared without even a goodbye note.
Emily's roommates start arriving at the pub, and Emily steps out for a second only to see her high school friend (and ex-partner) Kiran arriving at the lot too. "Kir!" Emily says as she rushes over, and Kiran laughs as Emily wraps them in a bear hug, almost knocking them over. "Hey Emmy, I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," they say and Emily nods. "Right? It feels like it's been 80 years. I've been so busy with classes and soccer practice and all four of my moms visiting that I haven't had time to do much," Emily explains and Kiran nods. "I understand, I've been the same with classes and my internship at this local art museum, I'm learning so much about art history and provenance and preservation," they say, brown eyes crinkling at the corners and making Emily's stomach flutter a bit. "I'm really glad to hear that, Kir" Emily says. "So, I know the U Brite vs Foxbury match is happening next Saturday. I'll technically have to be in the Foxbury stands but I'm going to be rooting for you," Kiran says and Emily grins. "Thanks, let me know what museum you're interning at and maybe I'll come and check it out when I have one of my 2/3 hour free periods," she says and Kiran grins too.
Jennifer was in her office scrolling on her laptop. She had been working for an hour and that meant it was time to reward herself with some cute animal videos. There was a knock on the door and she called out to come in. Getting up she was shocked at who came through the door.
Julie: Hey girl!
Xander: The party is here!
Jennifer smiled wide, her two best friends were here. Life was instantly at least ten percent better.
Jennifer: What are you doing here? How the heck did you get past security? I told you mother was extending how long I had to go no contact
Julie: You did but we figured she had no way to know that you had told us that
Xander: So we showed up all, we respect you so much that we tacked an extra fortnight onto our no contact and weβre here to see our bestie pretty please
Jennifer: *laughs* The crap you two pull
Julie: You mean us three. Look at this office
Xander: She really thinks sheβs got you being little miss professional
