I've never mourned the loss of characters before like I have with Primitive War
They had their entire lives ahead of them... they didn't deserve that

primitive war thoughts
So I know it’s been nearly two months since primitive war first came out in theatres and I watched it but I’m just now putting my thoughts together for the movie.
I’m new to this fandom and I’ve only recently started listening to the audiobook, but I’m loving it so far.
anyways, here’s my random ass thoughts on the movie. I’ll do one on the book once I finish it.
first of all, the deinonychus made me so excited. They’re my favourite raptors, and seeing them on the big screen made me so happy I was quietly vibrating in my seat and giving my best friend the biggest grin.
the noise the T rex jaws make just sound so satisfying to me. Just, so satisfying.
FLUFFY BABY T REX’S. They were so cute! Babies.
also as far as I could tell the t Rex’s wrists weren’t pronated which was great.
also loved how the raptor’s eyes reflected the torchlight. For some reason the line “get in that hole, Keyes” is funny to me. I think it’s the way it’s phrased. Idk it just makes me giggle a bit.
As much as I love parasaurolophus, I’m really happy other hadrosaurs got to be in the spotlight, even if it was in the back ground.
the theatre only had about five or six other people and they were all men in their thirties to forties, and then there was me and my friend, two teenagers wearing an abundance of jewellery and living our best lives.
The briefing scene with Jericho sends me every time. This man did not call himself the alpha male and mean it.
“nothing succeeds like success.” Yeah no shit, Jericho. The perpetually tired look on Ryan’s face was a mood. I feel you buddy, I feel you.
My jaw literally dropped during the finale with the utahraptors. It looked so cool and the music was amazing.
Jericho loosing his shit in the helicopter and everyone just ignoring him was also funny to me.
I’m someone who gets attached to characters pretty easily, so I’m sitting there, thinking that Gerald Keyes may be joining the list of favourite characters (along with the rest of the squad, but Gerald in particular). Then he proceeded to die on me. Which, I knew some of them were going to die. But why.
speaking as someone who went to a Christian school for fifteen years, I understand Eli’s disinterest in religion. No hate to Miller for being religious. Good for him honestly. But if anyone starts preaching to me I’m going to get annoyed.
I can’t believe every single member of vulture squad made me get attached to them and then proceeded to all die except Xavier and Leon. Rude.
I also loved how there was examples of sexual dimorphism in some of the dinosaurs.
anyways that’s everything I can think of off the top of my head. In conclusion I loved this movie and I’m loving the book so far.
Desperately need people to post about the movie Primitive War! Can’t get ahold of the book right now, I NEED more content 😭
my friend said this image looks like Ryan being proud of his gay sons
and you know what I can see that

Shit bro I'm writing Ryan talking about Eli and ... is Kentuckians a word?? May the Americans weigh in? Would Ryan call Eli a Kentuckian? 👀
