PLS TELL ME WHAT KIND OF DOG I WOULD BE, ELI 👀🙏🥺🧡
You’ve been assigned……….. the Groenendael!!
This breed originated in Belgium, was bred to be a sheep herding dog, and they’re incredibly intelligent (as is common for herding dogs)
They’re very closely related to the Malinois, and they’re pretty much equal in size to a German Shepherd. They’re super energetic and require a lot of mental and physical stimulation to thrive, but when those needs are met, they’re one of the most loyal dogs out there. They’re also very eager to please and because of that, they’re really easy to train (again, provided they receive sufficient mental stimulation regularly)
And they have a double coat!! Double coated breeds are pretty much weatherproof, but when they shed, they shed more hair than you even thought they had to start with
Honorable mention: the Utonagan, a husky/malamute/gsd, formerly known as the Northern Inuit dog. they look a lot like a wolf to the untrained eye, but they’re total sweethearts! I’ve never been lucky enough to meet one in person, but I have a friend in Alaska who owns one, and his is such a silly goose (the husky temperament came out strong in her skfjsjfhs)
