Ezra didn’t much feel like exploring the new spot. Others had been around it for days whilst he was sat waiting for Danny to wake up. He was certain there wasn’t anything interesting left to find, so he was content with simply searching out the teacher’s lounge with only one thing on his mind. It’d taken a fair amount of searching but he found it, the holy grail: 3-in-1 coffee sachets. Closest to coffee with creamer he’s gotten in months.
He’d ripped up a couple pages from an old calendar and made a small fire to boil water. He’d forgone his usual ritual of smokes and coffee, having powered through so many those two very long days, he thought he’d only indulge in one vice at a time. At least this time.
Ezra’s already drained his first cup, now he’s just letting the water boil for his second. While he should really learn to space out his indulgences, it’s not something he’s ever been very good at.
Footsteps nearby drag him from something close to peace he’d found himself. No matter who it was he’s about to offer a drink to them. Only as he looks up: it’s Eli. A beat passes, too long a moment in thought before he’s busying himself ripping open the sachet and making his drink.
“Do you want a coffee?”
