“If it isn’t the self proclaimed God..”
Eli & Jaspyr || unfinished
Eli left out of no where, but he was secretly working on getting signed and drafted.. And it worked. He knew he shouldn't have gotten attached to the school and it people. But it was the one place where things felt normal. Roaming around the campus memories flooded him and he missed the place dearly. Seeing the small fire with the students he walked over hoping so tee some familiar faces
Jaspyr spotted a familiar shadow that she hadn't seen around in a while and her face instantly lit up. She didn't think twice about whether it would actually be Eli or not- but if it wasn't the chances of it being someone she knew anyways were great and she was known for making a fool of her self. She sprinted towards him the best she could in the sand and jumped on his back. "If I had one of those plastic children's bats I'd hit you with it right now."
Smelling her apple shampoo, Eli knew immediately who was badly balancing on his back. Squeezing her thighs some he helped her down to her feet comfortably. "Hey you." he said cooly even though he felt a little nervous seeing the girl.
Jaspyr tried her best to look upset as she placed her hands on her hips and pout but look sassy at the same time. "I just think you should know I'm have a severe internal struggle because I don't know if I'm mad that you disappeared or excited because you're here right now."
His stomach began to churn some as she pointed him out. "hey, hey.. I'm sorry.. I was going to tell you that I was playing for some recruits... But I got drafted before I had the chance. I didn't tell anyone Jas, don't be mad. I missed you."
Jaspyr squinted her eyes at him and just stared for a few moments. She didn't really have the right to be mad. He did what everyone else was trying to do with their lives, just in a different way. Making a name for himself somewhere he'd be comfortable and have fun wasn't something she could be upset about. She slipped a piece of hair behind her ear and looked down at the sand for a while before looking back up at him. "I'm proud of you, that's really great. Sorry for being upset. I missed you too. Tell me more about it though? Maybe even over a drink? If you can." She felt weird suggesting a drink, even for herself but she was all over the place and figured that was the one thing that would ease her nerves.
Eli's eyes lit up when she became happy once more. Bringing her in for a hug, he kissed the top of her hair before wrapping his arm around her shoulder and walking her to a cooler. Picking up two beers he made himself comfortable on a nearby blanket, waiting for her to join him. "I'm glad I get to make someone proud besides Jonah." he said with a big smile. "I'm actually on vacation right now, most of my team is, but they stayed back in the states. But I don't want to talk about me. How's that leg?" he asked tapping her knee
She squeezed him tight once he pulled her in and smiled, realizing that she didn't really have this friendship with anyone else- or that she hadn't gotten a real hug since she'd last seen Eli. It was hard for Jaspyr to explain verbally, or even to herself but she and Eli just got along really well and she could never be down around him- for too long at least. She took a beer from him and opened it taking a sip, before lowering herself onto the blanket at well and leaning against his side. "Anyone who has even known you would be proud, I promise. How is he, by the way? I bet he's really excited about this whole thing." She was always one who loves hearing about other people and what they thought and how they were doing- probably to the point where she was a bit annoying but that never stopped her. "Oh, yeah, that would make sense. I'd probably make you go right back to the airport if that weren't the case, after you promised to keep in touch of course." , she said turning towards him to post his nose. "Aw, come on. Your life is so much more interesting than mine right now anyways. I want to hear more later at least." She raised an eyebrow at him and took another swig of beer. "It's doing alright. I'm a lot better at running now and I went biking earlier today, besides the fact that I tripped like an idiot, over my own laces, everything's great."
The mood was light and nothing ever felt forced when he was with Jaspyr. As she leaned in he comfortably placed his hand on her hip bringing her even closer. Eli thought of Jonah, and how happy he was with everything that they had. "Well.. We have a house now. With beds and food, and running water, and heat and air. He cried when he saw it, and he hugged me and told me I was the best thing in his life." he choked out a bit feeling his eyes get a little watering. "I know I did, but they were still trying to decided what team to put me on and I wasn't financially secure at the time." he added before taking a big gulp of beer. "Later yes, we can facetime with Jonah if you'd like and you can finally meet him." he said looking down at her. "Seems like you're getting better and better at using the prosthetic, soon you'll just whip it out and do whatever you want and not worry about not being able to do it."
Jaspyr bit her lip to try and keep the grin on her face from growing even bigger as she listened to Eli go on about how much better off he and his brother were. She reached over towards her hip to gently place her hand over his and squeeze it. "I'm so incredibly happy for yo and proud of you because I know how much that must have meant and I know it wasn't easy and that's... my happiness for you obviously can't compare to yours or Jonah's but honestly that's amazing. She leaned up and planted a soft , endearing kiss on his cheek, knowing that kissing people regularly to express emotions that weren't romantic was a big no-no. "Her face lit up again and her cheeks were almost covering her eyes now as she pulled back to look him in the face. "Really? I'd love that. I've heard so much about him and he's probably such a great kid and I know how much he means to you.I'm really excited now. You sure do know you to flip someone's mood around, don't you?" She smiled to herself and turned back around to lean against his side and place her hand over his again, running her thumb back and forth over it. "I guess. I'm personally amazed at how.. much easier it is for me to just accept it as a part of my everyday life and use it without feeling bad or angry or upset. I'm not scared for the future anymore, I know I'll make something work for me somehow."
Eli's face grew a bit warm when she squeezed his hands but he continued. "It's us two in a little studio type apartment in Tampa. He goes to school everyday now and actually likes it. He has friends and he skateboards. He just doesn't like that I hired a nanny for him." he chuckled remember when he first that nanny and his brothers face. "Since he's eleven he thinks that he's a man now and can cook and clean adn handle himself for weeks at a time. Yeah no" he said laughing louder. "I was going to crash on Milo's couch for the night because why not. He's actually really funny, he doesn't notice what he says sometimes. I try my hardest Jasp." he remarked. Taking their fingers he intertwined them softly. "You didn't deserve it you know that right?" he said looking at her this time. "That's amazing though, some people get so furious and such events and refuse to ever walk again becasue they let their bitterness rule them. I'm happy to hear that."
"Does that mean you have a lot of expensive abstract art hanging up on your walls too? Or maybe a life size portrait of our cousin, Shakira. I'm picturing it already. Maybe I can use my magic charm and convince him that it's not all too bad. And I'll tell him that I'm expecting a nice home-cooked meal by him whenever I stop by. I thought I was hot shit too when I turned 11. Those were the good days." She shook her head in disagreement when he mentioned sleeping on the couch. "i have family in the area and they have this awesome guest room with a water bed.. we can crash there if you want. I'm only suggesting the both of us because it would be weird if I just dropped you off there but- I think you get my intentions. He's got a strange sense of humor, but you love it anyways. Your hardest definitely pays off, don't doubt that." She blushed slightly feeling his fingers close around hers and was thankful for the dark lighting because she knew he's tease her about her now rosy cheeks if it were light out. She took a gulp of her beer and lifted her head up to look out towards the water , her face straightening out when he asked her. "I mean.. I don't know. I get that it was definitely taken too far but sometimes I just thin back not even to the day it happened but to the game that started it all and maybe I should have gone over to help her rather than celebrating my win and then going out for milkshakes.. " She clanked her teeth on the edge of the beer bottle keeping herself quiet as she listened and nodded to his praise. "Mhm, I'm definitely grateful."

Admirable Dancing || Eli and Jaspyr
It was nice that she was actually being listened to, since she felt that Alfie was the only one who really did that anymore. But at the same time, she only has herself to blame since she wasn't exactly going out of her way to make contact with new people. She glanced down slightly to try and hide the creeping s mile on her face. "I'm so jealous, it hurts. You're going to have to teach my how to do all of that, I can't lack dance skills forever, now can I?" She didn't think too much about the dancing aspect of things, knowing it would only make her terribly awkward. After all, it was nothing to significant, a prolonged joke if that. "Well thank you, that makes me feel a lot better now. You should tweet more often so I have more to say next time you come running at me screaming my name." She tensed up slightly when he placed his hand on her hip, although she should have expected it, and nodded once placing her hand on his shoulder hesitantly.
Friends are forever || Imogen & Eli
Imogen got ready as fast as she could to go to Elis. The past few days, his posts had been kinda off, and Imogen was worried. Once the two had talked, she'd hoped it would clear up her worries but that hadnt been the case. He said he'd been "doing things he wasnt proud of," and Imogen knew this feeling all too well. Her cutting had gotten worse and instead of just her wrists being mutilated, her inner thighs were beginning to be cut up as well. She hated what she was doing to herself and if Eli was depressed or something she did not want him turning to alcohal or self harm. She knew that he loved Clare, but something was off with him and she was determined to figure out what it was. Once her hair was up in her classic buns, she threw a sweatshirt over her sports bra that she was wearing and slipped on some black yoga pants, courtesy of Fiona. Grabbing her cellphone as she left her room, she noticed a note lying on the ground out front of her bedroom door. It was from her Dad. "Imogen, I will be spending the night at the hospital. Please dont worry because everything is fine, they are just running some tests. Love you much, Dad." Imogen was automatically worried even more. Her Dad had been getting worse & worse, it just wasnt slowing down at all. She crumbled up the note and threw it in her trash can as she continued walking down the hallway, wanting to push the negativity away.
She finally got to leaving her house and walked quickly to Elis, eager to see her log lost best friend. The feelings were building in her stomach, she had missed Eli terribly. Ever since he had started dating Clare again, & Imogen had started dating Fiona; they had barely seen each other. Imogen had even found out about the engagement on Tumblr, not in person. Even though this situation was a bit of a downer, she was still excited to be seeing him. Once she had his door in eyes view, she ran up and opened the door slowly, not wanting to wake up CeCe or Bullfrog. She quietly tiptoed up to Elis room and saw that his door was cracked. Imogen slowly pushed it open, "Eli...?"
That might be the best course of action. I'm good. Just finished off two cups of coffee myself. Attempting to keep myself awake for the entire day. Should be a challenge.
I limited myself to one this morning and I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open right now. Though I think it has more to do with the fact that the teacher's voice is so slow.
You're turning into an addict, m'lady. Much like myself.
I really just think I should stick to regular coffee, the flavored stuff is too good to stop drinking.
How are you?
