Truth Or Consequence

Summary: When Theo is 8 years old, life as he knows it changes. He loses his family in an accident, and winds up with his sister’s heart. He spends the next few years living with Liam and his family, and trying to figure out what his life is supposed to be like now. Along the way, he falls for Liam and the two start dating. Until one night, the Dread Doctors come for him. Theo’s memories are taken from him and replaced with false ones, leading him to believe he’s been with the Dread Doctors since the accident. When he comes back to Beacon Hills, he’s there with a purpose. To get power and pack. He’s ready to do whatever it takes to get what he wants. What he’s not counting on is Liam, and the strange pull he feels towards him.

There’s a long silence and then Theo’s voice rings out through the darkness. “Whatever, just don’t try to cuddle me.”

“I don’t cuddle, and even if I did, you are the last person I would ever want to cuddle with, Raeken,” Liam huffs and jerks the blanket harder, pulling it away from Theo completely. “Now share the damn blanket.”

“How can I share the blanket when you have all of it,” Theo growls. “You share the blanket you asshole! Also, you do too cuddle, you dirty little liar! I’ve seen you do it!”

“It’s called tactile sleeping!”

Theo has spent half his life resenting Mason, cultivating a bitter envy towards whoever this person would be who would replace him as the Beast’s vessel, who would finally be deserving of the power that had originally been promised to him.

Even as he helped the Doctors to create him, as he sacrificed everything he loved, every part of himself, every last shred of his humanity, only to find that those sacrifices were the very thing that made him unworthy. All the while there had been the bitter sting of his inadequacy, the reminder that all this was necessary because Theo hadn’t been good enough.

“My heart,” Theo states, and the cloaked hand slowly reaches for him again, settling against his chest.

Stiles tries not to stare too much at the blonde girl standing just inside the house. Caroline, his Dad had said. But it’s hard not to. It’s not just that she’s drop dead gorgeous, which is something he never thought he’d think about anything other than Lydia Martin, but there’s something else about her. Something different. He just can’t figure out what. “Are you actually going to say hello or continue staring at me all day?”

Stiles flails a bit as his eyes come up to meet hers. He can feel his face heating up and internally curses himself. Of course she would notice. Still, he puts on an easy grin and tries not to show just how affected he is, “Why do I have to introduce myself when you already know who I am?”

Caroline rolls her eyes, “Oh I don’t know, because it’s something that someone with manners would do?”

“Caroline,” Sheriff Forbes’ voice holds a hint of warning as she shakes her head at her daughter. She turns her attention to Stiles, “it’s nice to see you again, Stiles. The last time I saw you, you were in diapers.”

Stiles grins, “Yeah, I’d say I’ve grown since then.”
