One thing that will never not be funny to me is how when people write Zaundads fanfiction, they write Silco as the uptight one, when it's exactly the opposite.

Vander disciplines his children. He had rules for them that they are aware of and respect nost of the time, and he actually scolds and punishes them when they disobey or put themselves in danger. Is he the most responsible parent? No, he condones his children using violence, but is he a laid-back parent? Nope! He's up their asses about breaking rules, giving lectures, confiscating objects they favor and the such when they break important rules that he has repeatedly tried to drill into their heads.

Silco? Babes, Silco couldn't give less of a fuck. In the seven years he's had Jinx, he has disciplined her perhaps, one time? Twice? The girl blew up a building, killing several enforcers that were on Silco's payroll and got away with a slap on the wrist. He yells at her for maybe a minute or two, to keep up with appearances, and she tiltes her head at him, looking curious as to what he's trying to do. His scoldings are so rare that she literally just nods her head and smiles at him, not even realizing that she's in trouble. Or just not caring, because "being in trouble" with Silco means literally nothing.

Vander is the kind of dad that grounds you for bad grades and expects you to do better. Vander shows up at the next parent-teacher meeting to see what can be done to help you out at school.

Silco notices his toddler throwing rocks at other kids in the playground and goes "Jinx, we said soft hands, remember?🥰" without even getting up from the bench he's reading a book on. Silco gets upset at other parents trying to step in to protect their kids from the rocks being thrown. Says they're "crushing his daughter's spirit".
