Repost [hollywoodunlocked] --- HU Staff: Kecia Gayle kecia.kae According to CBS News, The Colorado Department of Health and Environment has opened a new investigation into how ketamine is administered with regards to the death of Elijah McClain. __________________________________ Peter Myers of the Health Facility Education and Quality branch of CDPHE explained: “The department received numerous complaints, beginning on June 24, 2020, that provided additional information regarding a ketamine administration in August 2019.” He added that “the department launched a complaint investigation which is currently ongoing.” __________________________________ As we previously reported, McClain died on Aug. 30, 2019, just days after he went into cardiac arrest following an encounter with Aurora officers. Cops detained him on a “suspicious person” report in the area of Billings Street and East Colfax Avenue. His family explained that McClain had been walking to the store to get iced tea, and would usually wear a face mask when it got cold outside. As officers detained McClain while holding him down; with the help of first responders, a 500 mg dose of ketamine was pushed in his shoulder. The coroner was “unable” to find a specific cause of death, however, they didn't rule out that McClain could have had a negative reaction to the drug. __________________________________ If you have a tip or suggestion, or want to talk to us about this story, Text the word “TIP” to 1-310-388-6463 #justiceforelijahmcclain #elijahmcclainwasmurdered #elijahmclain #blm #protectblacklives #blackhistory #ketamine #policebrutality #corruption #murder #wematter #stopkillingus #cardiacarrest #killedbypolice #child #investigation #colorado #coloradolife #lifestlye https://www.instagram.com/p/CDOnp9sFaw3/?igshid=o74t9l23q0cr
