Nathalie Miranda
Nathalie Miranda is a full-fledged, soul belter, power-house vocalist with a 4octave range. Notable for her unique, soulful voice, and high energy performances, this artist is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Hot on the heels of her recent release ‘Poltergeist’ earlier this year, her new single ‘Catch-22’ is out now. This is a totally different sound for Nathalie, and one that she feels reflects her love of soul and blues music, while still being, without doubt, a relatable, catchy, pop song. Nathalie elaborates further: "I wanted to create a song that reflected by love for Blues and Soul, while still being a pop track. I came up with the melody and the initial lyric one day during lockdown, and it really inspired me to create this retro sound, while still being a relatable topic. The girl in the song is trying to work out whether or not she should listen to her heart or her head; she knows that her boyfriend has hurt her, but the problem is that she just can’t live without him...which is therefore a catch-22! Infact, I didn’t have a title for the song until a few weeks before I shot the video! Musically, I wanted it to sound huge and quite sparse at the same time, which I think my producer and co-writer, Simon, did a great job creating in our make-shift home studio! We triple tracked most of the harmonies and backing vocals to give it that massive sound that I had envisioned. Time-consuming but definitely worth it!The inspiration for the video was a Bond theme. I wanted something very simple, and obviously it had to be a Covid-friendly video shoot with social distancing! So it’s all about suggestion in the video, and the frustration thatthe protagonist is feeling." Listen below.

Elin Bellander
‘Good on My Own’ is a vibrant and melodic contemporary pop song about self-love and fully embracing your independence. Getting out of a long term and highly co-dependent relationship, Swedish pop singer-songwriter Elin Bellander found herself in the midst of a new-found freedom which inspired her latest single. Produced by NYC based artist/songwriter/producer Skyler Cocco, the two worked on the track only through social media due to the pandemic keeping them from working together in person. The state of the world right now can be daunting, but these two still managed to make magic happen, just like Elin says “It was super cool to connect with a complete stranger on the other side of the Atlantic and still manage to find a vibe together as creatives solely through digital platforms. During these trying times it’s nice to see that it’s still possible to form new creative connections and create something positive, and Ibelieve we did just that.’’ Heavily influencedby artists such as Julia Michaels, Lennon Stella, SHY Martin & FLETCHER, this is a pop song with something to say. It’s got deeper meaningful lyricalcontentabout losing yourself in a relationship and then getting out of it on the other end and finding happiness.“Ineed to learn how to be my own best friend and writing this song is one step closer to getting there”. Elphi
'Play Pretend’ is a single born from lockdown. Produced by the head of Hyperpop Records, Shady Monk, Elphi's single brings together classic pop elements with darker electronic sounds creating an overall explosive dance track that has a melancholic ring to it. As a female DJ Elphi has spoken of how difficult the industry is to be heard in as a woman, but that should not put young girls off. She wanted to include electronic tropes in her music to make them easily 'mixable' in a set. Listen below.
