about the post about the penpal and surnames and maiden names, here in Iceland we don't have them except for some very old family names and perhaps the names that foreign people bring in. We have patronymic (sometimes matronymic), meaning, we take out father's (or mother's) first name and add either -dóttir or -son to the name i.e. My surname is Stefánsdóttir, my dad's first name is Stefán.

WHAAAAT THAT IS SO COOL. Omg, it’s so amazing to know about all of this cultural differences. Thank you so much for sharing this with me! And I hope it doesn't upset you if I publish this ask, because I think this is something everyone should know! Iceland is so badass.

i haven’t! i wrote it down so i can see it sometime and be like ‘what’s this?’ and look it up and remember this message. and yeah, reassurance to everybody, i really do want to do the entire company (then i can draw them actually doing things, wouldn’t you know), it’s just a matter of having the energy and correct uh, timing.
