thinking about! gally who’s hands can cause so much damage in the fighting circle but when he goes to touch you he handles you with the upmost care. as if you’re a fragile china set that’ll break at the smallest interference.

thinking about! gally who isn’t one to break rules around the glade going out of his way to find loopholes to make exceptions just for you. “i said no one could take extra plates - but you barely ate today so here,”

thinking about! gally who isn’t one to care about what others do (unless they aren’t doing their job) to suddenly becoming the most observant and concerned person you know after you officially started dating. you could be handling a semi-dangerous tool from across the glade and he’d just appear out of nowhere just to take it off of you. making excuses like “you don’t have the right grip for that,” when really, he just doesn’t want you to get hurt.

thinking about! gally who’s tough and harsh when he speaks to the others but only ever lowers his voice when it comes to you. you can see the way his shoulder slowly loosens and how he slightly undoes the tension in his jaw. he always listens intently, to what you have to say even biting back his usual sarcasm.

thinking about! gally who’d drop anything he’s doing to help you out. if you’re struggling, if you’re in distress - he’s there. no hesitation, no question’s needed. anything to help lighten the load for the one person he loves.

thinking about! gally, who’s known to be stubborn and hotheaded among the gladers, someone who hardly ever admits when he’s wrong. even you aren’t inexperienced when it comes to seeing him get angry. so imagine your surprise when you heard that foreign phrase: “i’m sorry,” being muttered under his breath after your first argument as a couple.

thinking about! gally who’d change his attitude just for you. for you he’d try to be better. if that means, changing his behaviour or even being more patient with newer greenies (which. is. a. pain) but he’d do it all for you - just to see that pretty smile on your face or hear your loving compliments. he hates to admit it but you’ve softened him up but he wouldn’t have it any other way. after all, you’re the only person who can make this prison-dump tolerable.

thinking about!gally before he knew he liked you, who gets frustrated - at the fact you’re on his mind too much. he’d grumble obscenities under his breath whenever he caught himself looking at you or thinking about you as he zones out, when he really should be focusing on his job

thinking about!gally before he knew he liked you, who unconsciously pushes himself harder when you’re watching or near him.

if its when he’s in the fighting pit: he’d roll up his sleeves to the point his muscular arms are bulging out the tight shirtsleeve - making up excuses when asked about it by his friends, saying things like:

“they just feel better when I go to land a punch - no biggie,” (but it isn’t a “no biggie,” those muscles are far from that and he knows it - lets just hope you realise it too)

he’d pull off more tactical moves and stronger throws of his fists.

or if its a normal day of building: he’d take things out of gladers hands, even shoving them out of the way, just so he’d be in your field of vision.

“gally- wait you just said I was positioned here a few minutes ago!”

“not anymore - go and help out, somewhere else shuck-face,”

thinking about!gally before he knew he liked you, who suddenly snaps/scoffs at you randomly. If you’re too close - at the teasing jokes you make, you know what? even at the sound of your voice.

you know and he knows that he doesn’t mean it, after all your good friends, but it starts to confuse you. which only makes him snap back even more.

its almost comedic.

but really it’s just a defensive mechanism to him - a barrier he puts up to help push down bubbling feelings that keep arising in his chest.

gally who thought he was pretty good at keeping his emotions in line, finally ends up cracking when he lets himself sit with his thoughts.

thinking about!gally who now knows he likes you, suddenly becomes ticked off by any guy who gets your attention - he might throw some shade or a sarcastic comment at them but shrug it off when you mention it.

though, if the glader you were speaking to, ever brought it up - he’d go and make a scene out of it.

pushing at gally’s chest a glader steps in front of him, “what the hell dude, what’s your deal?”

shoving the male in front of him slightly he scoffs back, “you wanna find out slinthead? c’mon keep pushing me, dude.”

thinking about!gally who now knows he likes you, does everything in his power to avoid you - whats he supposed to do with these feelings now? why does he keep acting out?

he doesn’t remember any trace of knowledge that taught him how he’s supposed to go about, whatever this even is!

while this existential crisis occurs in his brain, his demeanour does not show any signs of panic. His body seems to just run itself - his expression serious, and his body just a teensy bit more tense when he’s around you, whilst his consciousness suffers inside.

gally who isn’t the type to easily admit his emotions - finally admits that he likes you when his body takes full control and crashes his lips into yours.

this wasn’t how his little declaration of love was supposed to go - but all thoughts of worry slip away when you feel your body melt into his.

gally honestly was never going to get his way by expressing his feelings through his words so maybe his actions might show much he likes you?

but the funny thing is the fact you always knew - you had always liked him - from the moment you met him - but there was no way in this world you’d ever admit that. so imagine how relieved you felt when he finally made the first move.

at the end of the day though, you were as stubborn as he was, maybe thats what makes you so crazy for each-other?

his signature smug smile appears at the sound of your words. seeing it painted all over his face, you know you’ll kick yourself for giving him this much praise - but he really does deserve it, so maybe it’s worth the countless days of teasing.

his smirk is still imprinted onto his mouth as he replies “i figured you would,”

lightly hitting him, you remarked back “oh shut it, shuck-face,” smiling happily you jump into his arms, hugging him around the neck which he gladly reciprocates - squeezing you tightly.

even though he won’t admit it (i mean not yet, at least.) deep down, he can’t help but feel his heart quicken at how excited you look. he’s genuinely grateful you don’t hate it.

She came a year after he did, the gladers just establishing a steady routine. Change was her, and he didn’t take it easy.

Y/n and Gally bickering wasn’t an unfamiliar sight to the glade - in fact it was abnormal to not see them arguing over something dumb.

From the moment he had seen her confused face it was there, that hatred he had for her - one that wasn’t just driven by the disruption she had caused but it seemed to run deeper than the either knew.

He took note of those feelings but always kept it to himself, his character too stubborn to speak out or have the rivalry go deeper than meaningless annoyance, frustration and competition. Afraid with what he’d find out.

Though, that doesn’t mean his bubbling suspicion for Y/n didn’t eat him alive. That nagging feeling that made him go crazy every time he saw her - something, a voice? - that told him he knew her, but from where?

It couldn’t have been more the opposite for her. She couldn’t have cared less for him, Y/n had set her mind on survival; that worry being on the top of her list.

The psychological mechanics embedded in our bodies from birth, one called the fight or flight response system had been surging through her the moment she had woken up in a moving chain-mail box.

Dangling thousands of feet above pure darkness.

When the warmth of what felt like she remembered to be sun met her features, he had jumped in and clouded it.

His sharp blue eyes observing her weirdly, grazing her figure like she was some abnormal creature - it didn’t help but make her even more terrified than she was puzzled.

She didn’t hate him, didn’t feel some sort of connection, but with his fixed “unwelcoming-snarky,” attitude towards her, she felt the need to know why it was so.

They were bio-hazards sewn on to themselves - the death of each other and she fell into a trap that was known as Gally.

Love, trust and relationships were a dangerous thing, especially in a place where nothing was certain.

Peace in the Glade had its run. Peace between the two of them had its fun.

Everything had never been as it seemed and it was all about to change a year later.

After-all, uncertainty and certainty were two sides of the same coin.

gally’s a sweet and simple man who puts a ton of thought into his gifts

he’d buy you those staple red roses, neatly wrapped in your favourite colour, tied with white ribbon and neatly put together with a stocky note that reads “i love you,”

hates fine dining and its culture, complains all about it, saying things like “i barely get a good meal out of their barely filled white plates,” so instead he plans out a comfy date at home - movie marathons until you two fall asleep, tons and tons of varieties of your favourite food, laughter and cuddling.

in between filler episodes of your favourite show if you boredly booped whipped cream on his face, he’d be the type to bring you into a hug and smear it all on your face as retaliation

has an obsession for caramel filled things and marshmallows

binges the box of chocolates you bought him in one night (yes, they were caramel filled and chocolate covered marshmallows)

halfway through your fifth movie, you both decide to build a fort, using lounge chairs, pillows, cushions and weighted blankets to create the comfiest makeshift home

using his muscles as a pillow (I MEANN I SAID WHAT I SAIDD)

he absent-mindedly plays with your hair and massages your shoulders, as you lay on his lap, which only makes you sleepier

tracing hearts over his calloused hands

as he slowly gets more tired his forehead kisses get sloppier and his voice becomes more scruffier

when sleep finally catches up to you, he’d gently carry you to your shared bedroom, kissing you on the cheek before he joins in and wraps his hands around your figure as he falls asleep next to you

🎀:: sypnosis: after a succesful dinner date with your boyfriend gally on valentines day, you both (mostly gally) look for your lost car but instead stumble across a childhood store that catches your eye

“yuhck, i’m so fulll,” you complained.

dragging your feet through the soft path of snow you kept squeezing his hand as an attempt to try and get him to stop walking so fast.

marching on gally kept his head high, as he flicked his head from left to right, trying to find your car that you lost in a sea of others.

he replied absent-mindedly, still determined as he squinted out to a faraway parking lot “you’re going to be full and sick if we don’t get out of this snow - now wheres our car?”

“I doubt these tiny snowflakes would hurt me, spaceboy,”

“yeah well, i’ll stop worrying when you start walking faster,” he remarked back - a playful grin spreading across his features as he yanked you forward. “come on help me out,”

you stumbled forward tripping slightly “GALLY, watch it - it’s slippery,”

lightly pushing him with your shoulder, he responded with a short laugh, a teethy smile lingering on his face as he observed your figure as you brushed off the ends of your coat and muttered something under your breath.

looking up at him you met his blue irises that seemed to be so lost in yours, “what is it? you tryna’ find another way to kill me in the snow?”

“very funny y/n but i don’t plan on doing that today,”

“tomorrow then?”

he hummed in a sing-song tone, shrugging “what about i spare you this week - it is valentines day,”

“oh, you’re so kind gally,” you rolled your eyes, biting back a grin, “now come on what is it,”

as his eyes wavered across yours, you could tell he was no longer looking at your eyes but studying something deeper, like he could read your thoughts. it was something he’d do all the time, that always found a way to make your heart flutter.

he was first to break your eye contact, looking out in the distance before he spoke, “just saw something pretty it’s nothing really,”

as he continued to walk on, you were able to see how his suit was all ruffled and his hair was now let loose, the thin gel slowly melting away as each drop of icy flakes fell onto his blonde locks.

you smiled at his cheesy comment, breathing in a breath of fresh air as you now walked in comfortable silence.

you knew your boyfriend always struggled with putting his thoughts into words - he’d usually show it in different ways, random bouquets of flowers or if its helping you repair your wonky desk you can’t seem to let go.

of course, he’d still leave comments here and there, like i love you’s and compliments.

but these were one of those rare occasions you cherished, ones where he’d melt into your eyes an utter sweet nothings.

walking on you, stared at all the lit up restaurants and flower stalls, with signs that read “last call for a valentines day special.”

nothing you hadn’t seen before, until one store on 42nd street catches your eye.

“hey handsome?”

“hm?”

“wanna’ do something fun?”

looking around the yellow lit room he watched as a bunch of kids scurried past, running up to their parents as they held up all types of outfits for an assortment of animals.

“fun doesn’t have an age gally - come on let’s check out the bunnies,”

“we’re the only adults here without any kids,” he said in that same whisper as he scanned the build-a-bear store you were in “y/n don’t you think-”

as he turned to face you, he realised that he had been talking to blank space, whipping his head around he sighed when he saw you aweing at the variety of stuff animals they had.

crossing his arms, he couldn’t help but smile as he looked at your excited demeanour.

for you he’d listen to your silly little ideas that made your eyes sparkle like stars - he’d join in just to see it.

for each and every valentines day to come and for each and every day he’d spend with you tonight, tommorow and forever.

is it just me who thinks that gally would crashout the same way noah calhoun did in the notebook?

goes insane and puts all his effort into building your dream house you guys would always would talk about - in hopes you’d see it in the paper and be reminded of him?

like just HEAR ME OUTPLS (contains me JUST yapping, it’s not a fic sorry guys.. BUT I HAVE ONE IN THE WORKS):

like i know its a stretchhh on his builder traits - but like it just screams gally to me.

the only difference is that his “crash out,” would be more messier, grittier - just gally written all over it.

instead of writing letters to you everyday, he’d convince himself that it was pointless - his ego and pride getting in the way of his strong feelings.

that love slowly turns into hate for you, slowly hate for himself and last pure exasperation. but he’d push those feelings down.

unlike noah who threw himself into building due to pure longing - gally would throw himself into building because that’s the only way he knows how to deal wth his frustration, loss - all these confusing feelings.

he’d tell himself that he didn’t care, but unconsciously build something you two would always talk about, every single detail SCREAMS you: memories, dreams you shared. whether he realises it or not.

i’m actually second guessing whether he’d end up selling the house, which allows y/n to re-unite with him.

but if you guys did reunite, he’d be much more confrontational about what had happened, maybe even a heated argument, clearing up all the why’s but you’d eventually get that little sappy cute moment. kissing/hugging in the rain, huge declaration of love - like seeing you just made him realise how much he missed you.

plus, as much as he used to convince himself he didn’t miss you, he never really stopped waiting.

“siggy!” you hiccuped in between giggles, watching your boyfriend try and fail to spin pizza dough

chuckling, in response he replied “wait i think i’ve got it this time- i just got to throw it higher, maybe…”

twisting his hand in the air, the dough went flying but instead of falling back in his hands , it comedically splat onto the roof

“UHM BABY?”

you stared at him for a few beats exchanging glances of bemusement

“It’ll come down,” he said as he continued to stare at the pastry base, “I think,”

“aren’t you a baker?!” you snorted, playfully punching him on the shoulder, “isn’t this you’re forte-it,”

“hey now, just because I bake doesn’t mean I know how to do fancy pizza tricks and what not,”remarking back he was quick to correct you with a nerdy index finger up in the air, “plus i remember a certain someone put eggshells in our batter,”

swiping flour across your cheek, he snickered but quickly halted when you sent him a look.

things were about to get messy

striking back you clapped your dusty hands into his face, turning him a ghostly white

“y/n… COME HERE,”

running around the table you started grabbing scraps lying around the granite bench, whilst your boyfriend carried a handful of flour

you watched as the flour, made a trail onto the wooden floor as he ran, “WE’RE MAKING SUCH A MESS,” you screamed, but that didn’t stop the both of you from turning the kitchen into a war zone

with a bunch of laughing an unrecognisable things being thrown at each other, you wouldn’t have valentines day any differently. siggy was good at that thing, making ordinary things memorable.

like say, making heart-shaped pizza and turning it into a food fight?
