HI HELLO I'M GLAD YOU MADE IT BACK HOME OKAY and I hope you'll feel better soon! TELL ME ABOUT PARIS AND THE FOOD :D if you want to, lol :D
I will survive, eventually. For now, my body doth betray me... RUDE.
BUT ON TO BRIGHTER TOPICS, SHALL WE?
My good comrade, food in Paris is just awesome. Now, I won’t be writing any food reviews soon because I don’t have the proper knowledge for doing that accurately and with um, justice? I mean, if I had to sum up the Parisian goodness that I consumed, it’s subtle. That’s really the best way to describe it.
The flavors were not overpowering in really anything. It never fell in to the, for example, unfortunate habit of American food being too salty or too sweet or too oily. Okay, the French desserts could of course be sweet, but in the best way. Um, food that I think should not be sweet, wasn’t, if that makes sense.
There was an artistry to a lot of the food I had too, both in flavor and presentation. Even gordamn scrambled eggs. EGGS. How do they do that???
*get’s distracted by thoughts of scrumptious food*
Right, I should talk about the city too, but where to start?? Uhhh, well Paris is a photographers dream. It was RIDIC just how much eye candy architecture there was to take in. And the gardens and parks, can’t forget the numerous parks. What the heck.
Sure, not everywhere is sunshine and rainbows. The city is kinda dirty, more so in some parts than others. Apparently the issue with people not picking up their dogs poop (wtf) used to be worse? Mkay. Looking past that stuff though, still had a great time. I think what helped a lot is that really anyone we interacted with were friendly people. I’m kinda thinking people who believe Parisians to be rude are basing this judgement on one, potentially two unfortunate encounters. Or perhaps they did not try to speak French in any capacity (??). Honestly my good folks, just saying ‘bonjour’ goes a loooong way. Those are guesses, let me know.
Seeing so much history in one place also just really made me want to read all the history books. Something more specific is a book or books on the Louvre. Wow, just WOW.
I feel I could go on, but this is a good summary, yeah?
