I saw that Heronkit is the medicine cat’s kit, but is it public/do medicine cats not have rules about not having kits?
How does heronkit feel about it?

in the three clans, it is not forbidden for the healer to take a mate and start a family — the clans have different regulations and views on it, but the general opinion is that you are able to start a family if the medicine cat is sure it won’t interfere with their duties. however, even though Elkberry doesn’t get distracted from his job by his family, cats will still judge. this makes Sootkit feel rather inferior at times, but he knows he has his parents and his older sister to support him.
