I forgot I finished this a while ago. Also decided on the ship name and it is going to be elkheart.

Alright so I have been working on this for a few days. After I saw duncandeeznuts fanchild my mind really wanted me to create my own so I guess here is mine. Originally it was just going to be just Jay but then while I was at work I had an idea for Bonnie (mostly goes by the nickname Willow) as well so she is here too. And then it kind of just turned into this AU sort of thing.

So, "Stormwatcher" is a role whose name comes from the first cat to ever hold the role. The new Stormwatcher (Grasstuft) is only the second ever Stormwatcher of PrairieClan, and so when Stormwatcher I died they took up both the mantle and the name.

PrairieClan's territory is loosely based off the prairies I did my research in in the summer of 2022 (which is where the first iteration of PrairieClan came about). The role then was actually called Firewatcher, but it became Stormwatcher because this region happens to be right in the heart of Tornado Alley.

Stormwatcher's job is to, well, watch for storms, but also other natural disasters. They spend their time looking for the early signs of disasters beyond StarClan; that Elkheart can't make go away with herbs; that Goldenstar and Boartooth can't fend off. They're the Clan's first line of defense for that sort of thing.

They have their work cut out for them!

This Stormwatcher in particular also helps Elkheart by serving as an omen interpreter for StarClan. Elkheart is relatively young, and became the healer of PrairieClan after an unknown sickness swept through the camp and killed both the at the time healer and their apprentice, so their sensitivity to StarClan has been a bit neglected in their haste to learn everything else.
