I've been a lurker thus far but I think it's time for me to finally make an intro post :3
hey! I'm heath, 20+. he/him works, they/them is fine. I've been reading the warriors books for over half my life at this point.
I've read through tpb, tnp, po3, oots, and like half of dotc as well as a fair amount of the super editions and graphic novels. have not read avos or a starless clan (asc?).
I just bought A Warrior's Choice to read through Blackfoot's Reckoning and Daisy's Kin.
I'm currently in grad school for ecology so the nature brainrot runs deep.
I'm also writing my own original fiction about pigeons! I probably won't talk about it much on this blog until it's further along (like. sone) but I'm most of the way through the first novel.
these two things combine to mean I probably won't have a lot of finished long-form wc fanfic, but I do write and enjoy it.
I write a fair amount of one shots such as A Fire Across The Moor (link to it on AO3, will probably post it here eventually). Anything else will probably be a WIP or just an idea :P
I'm disabled and I love the disabled characters in warriors and generally think they deserve better so a lot of my ideas will probably center around that.
also, radfems can fuck right off. go away. im not gonna talk to you.
happy to answer questions or talk to people. I'm friendly and generally don't bite, and if I do I have all my shots :P (/j)
personal tag is #heathfall. anything else will be tagged as I see fit.
Hey, here's a fun new game. Put "đź““" or some other version of a book emoji into my inbox and I'll explain the plot of a fanfiction that I haven't written but daydream about.
"Don't tell me you want me to kit-sit so you and Sandstorm can go out hunting," Cinderpelt joked. "I don't think I could possibly stop Squirrelkit from getting into the herb storages if she really wanted to."
"Not quite," he said. "Leafkit wants to be a medicine cat. I wanted to ask if you would take her on as your apprentice.

Firestar asks Cinderpelt if she'll take on his daughter as her apprentice.

I haven't posted my own writing/warrior cat stuff for months I think? It WILL happen again. Anyway, here's a one-shot I wrote! It will also be under the read more.
The leaves on most of the trees in the forest were still green, but a chill in the wind betrayed the fact that greenleaf was losing its battle to leaf-fall. Firestar sat under the Great Sycamore, eyes closed, listening to the rustling of a nearby mouse.
Suddenly, there was a loud crunch as another cat pounced and landed on a few leaves which had already fallen. He opened his eyes to see Cinderpelt with a pawful of sycamore leaf. "Aw, mouse-dung," Cinderpelt said. "I almost had it."
"There'll be another mouse," Firestar said, taken back to several seasons prior when she had been his apprentice and would have barely been able to stop talking his ear off to try and pounce on a mouse. Now, she readied herself again, shifting slightly uncomfortably to keep her balance.
"Hold on for a second," he said, and she sat up. "I've got something I want to ask you."
I wanted to ask if you would take her on as your apprentice."
"I don't know if I'm old enough for an apprentice."
"Neither did Spottedleaf. I hope you live for seasons and seasons, but we can never be too careful." Cinderpelt was still hesitating, so he continued, "I can't make you take her, but you know her. You know she doesn't want to be a warrior."
"I know. I just don't know if she knows what she's getting herself into." Cinderpelt sighed, and she looked far older than her 24 or so moons, far older than the wide-eyed apprentice Firestar sometimes still saw her as. "The life of a medicine cat is a lonely one."
"She'll always have Squirrelkit," Firestar said. "And she'll have you, too. I can think of no one better to trust my daughter with."
"It's not just that. It's StarClan, too. That's not a thing I can teach, and..." Cinderpelt stared up at the canopy of the forest. "I wish Yellowfang was still here."
"I do too." He looked up as well, wondering if she could see them. As he watched, a lone yellow leaf fluttered off the Great Sycamore and landed gently on Cinderpelt's nose. She stared at it for a long moment, nearly cross-eyed, til the wind blew again and it flew off.
"I'll take her," Cinderpelt said. "Leafkit will be my apprentice." A hint of mischief crept in her voice. "After all, I've learned from the best."
"You flatter me."
"Not you, mouse-brain. Yellowfang!"
Firestar made an "oof" noise, feigning offense. Cinderpelt purred with amusement, before suddenly going stock-still, ears pricked. Firestar had barely had time to straighten up and listen himself before she leapt, and this time came up with a brown field mouse.
"Maybe you learned something from me after all," he said.Â
Cinderpelt turned toward camp with the field mouse dangling from her jaws. "Don't count on it."
Anyone down to help me entangle some family trees? I really wanna use that sideblog I got from a URL hoarder @windsofchange and I have been dying for ages to really get into the nitty gritty of the Haneossia AU's WindClan civil war but I always get stumped with what to do...
the actual reason I consume mediocre media is because I have bad taste. the deeper secret pretentious reason is because I think there’s something very revealing about bad media that you don’t get with good media. when you watch a poorly executed plot point unfold, you see the machinery behind it. you see the gap between what’s actually on screen and the true goal the author is striving for. if it’s particularly awful, you can even measure just how poorly mismatched the author’s skills are with the story they’re trying to tell you. watching a poorly executed narrative play out feels like you’re discovering something, because you see all the wiring and guts underneath that better authors hide from you, in the same way that movies hide boom mics and books make you forget you’re turning the pages. if a story is good and executed well you just see the story. but I want to see the guts and wires!
@aerial-jace has been terminated on Tumblr (as of 7/14/2025). (I found out on Discord). as far as anyone can tell, @troutfur and @kongque-jiaan are both still up but obviously he can't get to them with his main inaccessible.
no one's quite sure why, in his words he logged in and had a termination notice, no email about what he did or didn't do or anything. he's tried to file a support ticket but it won't go through.
i've made this post with his permission just to let people know what's going on and hopefully get some attention on it.
