This is the atarkus. They look kind of dorky at times because they like to swim, but they're an ambush predator who hangs around river banks. They may hunt in pairs.

While usually not a threat to an adult human, they've been known to prey on young children before.

This creature is actually inspired from and named for the Emerson Lake and Palmer song Tarkus.

Pulled out some old pictures for The Magic Flute and the world of Elkion. This is the samiatur.

They usually live in groups and hunt larger prey. Like Komodo dragons, their venom is an anti-coagulant.

They lay their eggs among the butress roots the forest. The parents do not stick around to provide care.

Finally got around to naming Tezaris’s homeland.  Elkion.  She was born in the capital, NatarmeAshal.
