GIVE IT UP FOR A ZINGER OF A DUB
Huge ENORMOUS thanks to @SuperShadicX250 and all those involved in voicing over my comic!! Their channel is so good like top tier voicework and editing you gotta see it 😎😎
I know this is probably a dumb question, but.. do you think Vanessa and Vanny are different characters or not? Or which version do you prefer?
Firstly I'll say this series gives me trust issues with how names are used. I've learnt not to assume anything unless the lore outright states if a character appearance is the same character we've seen... and not just the 515th dude named Michael or Jeremy.
However, if I had to make a calculated guess I'd say they're the same person. I'm not sure if the AR scrapped lore about "Ness" was retconned (I suggest watching videos towards that btw) but it was definitely pushing towards a narrative that Ness is Vanessa, a plucky girl with rainbow hair extensions (not actually dyed hair) who made the unfortunate transition into the persona Vanny. (Furthered by Princess Quest's player character already having Vanessa's likeness.)
Besides you never see them both in the same room lmaoo
Aesthetically? I think it would have been cool to see two different girls with fake-out thinking they're the same person. But I'm also liking the role reversal of nefarious guards and helpful animatronics.
Basically, I'm indifferent but I'm loving the direction Steam Wool is taking.
