The final update for the demo is now public! There’s a whole new scene with puzzle elements as well as an intro. Even if you have played the demo already, I would encourage you to give it another run through!

Time for some waking world scenes! I found this much more difficult to make than the dream worlds, it’s really challenging to make sure that everything fits together just right and looks like a place you might actually stumble upon in real life. In fact, looking over it now, I realize I could add some street lights and signs by the sidewalks. I might add those in, but if I want it to be absolutely perfect it will never be finished!

Prior to working on the art for my game, I had only drawn a few backgrounds, having a huge project like this to work on has really forced me to learn and grow as an artist.
