The final update for the demo is now public! There’s a whole new scene with puzzle elements as well as an intro. Even if you have played the demo already, I would encourage you to give it another run through!

Time for some waking world scenes! I found this much more difficult to make than the dream worlds, it’s really challenging to make sure that everything fits together just right and looks like a place you might actually stumble upon in real life. In fact, looking over it now, I realize I could add some street lights and signs by the sidewalks. I might add those in, but if I want it to be absolutely perfect it will never be finished!

The dragon animation quickly became my second most popular post, so I colored it! I fixed up the egg shells first because there was a lot of deformation on them. I want to make more of these because this was a lot of fun to make and was really great practice. I might animate some of the monsters in Ellapse and post them here, but I’ve decided to start up a series of animations related to this little dragon baby! Those will be posted on my patreon page, I made an extra tier on the lower end just for this purpose.
More Ellapse artwork will be coming in soon! I took a brief break but I’m back working away and I’m almost done with the next image.

I randomly had the desire to animate this little dragon baby. It may or may not be related to the game, but I wanted to show it either way. I sketched each frame individually, it’s my first time animating like this, and while it has its flaws I’m still really proud of it! I might make more things like this for my patreon page, but not sure how much time I’ll have. If people are actually interested in this though, I will definitely do more. Maybe even add color to this one?
I also just noticed! This is my 100th post on this blog! Well, here’s something special then :)

Here are all of the intro images! I’m really proud of all of them. They may still not be perfect, but I have come such a long way since I started drawing sceneries. Prior to working on the art for my game, I had only drawn a few backgrounds, having a huge project like this to work on has really forced me to learn and grow as an artist.

I think I went a little overboard on the eyes but I really like my original design for them. The final version will probably have pupils though, but we'll see.
