I love what Daisy says about her daughter:

“I hope she’ll be a fool—that’s the best thing a girl can be in this world, a beautiful little fool.”

I love how she’s basically challenging the ideas of women in her era and speaks a lot to the theme of the book...but, at the same time, she’s explaining why she acts the way she does. It’s easier to just be beautiful and foolish. What’s yours?
