My life of travel

This is the only day I'll be home since leaving Thursday morning and coming back from Colorado on Saturday.  I'm doing the typical staying, then quickly leaving thing--checking the mail, doing laundry, figuring out what I'm eating for dinner, figuring out flights, rides, and things to do. 

It's all pretty satisfying, considering I am paying for none of it.  I get to see good friends, hike, and hang out in another state that I've never been to before. 

I'm thankful.

Dear Elledee

Dear Elledee:

Your photos of the woods are torture.  It makes me want to pack my things and just take off for the Northeast for the rest of my life, which is what I really want to do.  It makes me long for home, where you could be half an hour to the ocean and half an hour to the woods or a lake. 

It makes me want to smoke New England stuff where people literally come up to you in their cars to sell what looks like small trees or a really nice-looking bush. 

Gaah.

God, take me home again.  I love the cornfields of the Midwest, but we don't even get that out in the burbs.  Take me to where we have woods, weed, and water.
