Supernatural S2 Review

First thoughts: Jo is so hot and I need more of her actually

Things I liked:

Jo

I actually kind of liked that John was gone, because I feel like it gave Sam and Dean the ability to grow into their own people and find their own path in a way

There was more plot this time which I appreciate

The plot with Sam's powers and the other people like him was really interesting, if a bit rushed

That one queer girl from socal that showed up for like one second and then immediately died - she looks a lot like a friend of mine (also queer and from san diego)

More reoccurring characters! The one thing I felt was missing from the first season was an ensemble cast, and I'm glad we're seeing more people now

The one episode with the Djinn was really cool, I love alternate reality aus, and also Addrienne Palacki came back! (aos fans know why I'm excited about this)

I lowkey loved Ava. I support women's wrongs

The roadhouse was cool, and I really love the idea that there's a network of hunters

Did I mention Jo

Things I didn't like:

The plot was still a little slow imo. But maybe I'm just getting whiplash from the fast-paced plots of modern media

Still not enough woman, and also even the two reoccurring women, Ellen and Jo, didn't really hunt. I liked that Jo went off on her own to hunt, but I feel like in general the show presents hunting as a man's job, and I get this came out in 2006, but also 2006 is still recent enough that we had a few badass women in television

Everyone making deals with demons. I get why they did it, but like, can y'all pls stop

The on the run for murder and other felonies seemed over the top, tbh, like they only mentioned it every now and then, and they certainly didn't act like wanted felons. I didn't really see a point

That's all I can think of! This season just flew by but also took forever at the same time? I'm really loving the show though! Excited to see more, hopefully there will be more hot women, and more hunters that we get to meet!
