Je sois, tu sois...Elles soient
I know how to conjugate être and avoir in the subjunctive. I do.
What I don't know is how to pronounce soient. When I'm trying to say it, and trying it out 3 different ways in class, it's not because I'm not sure what the conjugation is. I can spell it for you, just send me up to the tableau noir. I just can't fucking say it.
And then when I tell you that I know the form but not the pronunciation, don't get mad at me and tell me that I have to learn it and then move on, tell me how to say it correctly.
Now I have to type up the irregular forms of the subjunctive, to be handed in Tuesday. Just me and one other girl. I'm not going to complain about it because it will help reinforce the conjugations, but my issue is with pronunciation, not spelling and memorization.
tl;dr, I cried in French again today. I'm in college.
