Quickshadow's optics fluttered open, her helm lifting from where it had evidently been resting on her arms against the counter. "Hmm... Oh... Sorry, I-"
"No, don't be."
The femme seated beside her smiled with sympathy. "There's a reason you're passed out at the rations counter... Long shift?"
"Erm... Sort of..." Quickshadow tried to shake the drowsiness from her helm as she sat up a little straighter. "...New mum."
"Ah... That would do it. Your conjunx watching them right now?"
"I'm afraid not... He got assigned off-world... Too dangerous to keep Hotshot there... I managed to convince one of my neighbors to watch him while I was gone."
Quickshadow sighed, "...Not very much, but I don't have much choice... I just got back here from off-world myself. Don't know hardly anybot anymore..."
The other femme frowned, "That's rough... and I'll bet bots have been heckling you too..."
"Ugh... You have no idea."
"Well, allow me to be the first lifeline for you..." The femme looked to the bot behind the counter, pointing with her helm to the tired parent. "Put her on my rations tab, Glinx."
"Oh no, you don't have to-"
"I want to. It's tough being on your own, trust me... I know someone that I trust who could watch your sparkling, too. Get you some sleep yourself."
"You're awfully generous."
"I've been in the same place as you, and we have to look out for one another... My name's Ellie-D."
