As I've grown up, my understanding of love has evolved. Of course, I can blame one person for changing the whole concept of love for me, but I do believe it has opened up this whole new realm of understanding for me - of madness, of passion, of unconditional love.
Love is easy, and anyone who says it's difficult hasn't experienced the kind of true love I'm talking about because for me, loving my boyfriend is now as natural to me as breathing. I don't know how not to love him. The distance is hard, the uncertainty of when I will be able to be with him is hard, the time differences are hard, the longing is hard, but loving him... Loving him has always been the easiest thing in the world. From the moment I knew what I felt for him was real, keeping those emotions to myself were impossible.
Once you realize you love someone unconditionally, or rather, without conditions, then you see how easy it is. I will love him if I get to see him in two, three, four weeks. I will love him if I get to see him in a year. I will love him if he disappears for two years, three years, four years. I will love him when he's old, I will love him when he's sick. I will love him if he decides he wants to live in a shack in the middle of the desert, or if he decides he wants to live in a home by the sea. I would love him if he didn't want any children, I would love him if he wanted ten. I would love him if he went blind, I would love him if he went deaf, I would love him if he suddenly forgot me. I would love him even if he no longer loved me. I would love him if he loved someone else. I would love him as a friend, if need be.
Nothing can and will ever be able to stop me from loving him.
Always and forever. Unconditional. That's my love for him.
(So, baby, if you're reading this: no matter how difficult things get, no matter what happens to us, I will always be here, loving you. Don't forget that. My love for you is limitless.)
