El and Nine Father-Daughter Duo
Been thinking about a ‘El becomes a Companion to the Doctor after the ST Epilogue and before the start of the NuWho series
El has been travelling the world on her own for a few months before she meets the Doctor when they both get involved in an alien plot and he offers to let her come along
El is trying to heal from her trauma from all the upside down stuff and faking her death and leaving all her friends and family behind, the Doctor is trying to heal from his trauma from the Time War and killing his planet and losing his friends and family, they both have survivors guilt and extreme rage at the universe but try to be hopeful, they’re both depressed and kind of suicidal and are, of course, haters - it was meant to be
The Doctor doesn’t know everything about her but wants to help her heal and become better (bc if he can do that for this girl, then maybe he can heal too)
El agrees to join him bc she has nothing holding her to her life and she thinks she might as well use her life to help and save people (hero complex <333)
Then, a few months into their travelling together, they meet Rose and change again - for better or for worse…
