elrond + moonlight (walks, just light, w/e)

Elrond and Celebrian would walk beneath the moonlight almost every night. She delighted in the light cast from it and the stars, and found herself often breaking their tranquil silence with a gentle laugh or song. Occasionally, one, two, or even all three of the children would join them, and they would simply walk, sit, or even swim until one of them fell asleep and Elrond would have to carry them back to their beds. It was often Arwen who drifted off first, against one of her brother's shoulders or in her mother's lap. Elrond always noticed as he laid her in her bed, that under the eerie silver light of the moon, she looked even more like Celebrian than she already did.

After she leaves him however, he shies away from the moonlight. Without the glint of her fair hair beneath, the night becomes more an ugly and lonely thing. The children still wander out however, draped in velvet cloaks, and Arwen still finds herself drowsing on Elladan and Elohir's shoulders, too.
