Approaching Oswald out of the blue after months of no contact might not have been the smartest or safest idea, but the guilt over what Veronica had instigated still plagued her. She didn’t want to be that person anymore. Not if she could help it. “Uh, Oswald?” The redhead gave a small wave. “Good to see you out and about.”

4. Whats your favorite thing about your muse? 

//This is a hard one because I love so many things about him, but I think it’s interesting how he never really lets you forget who he is and what he does. He carefully correlates his tone and his body language to put people on edge, makes sly little comments about things he really shouldn’t know about you, little things that on their own might not be threatening, but coming from him are very scary indeed. It’s all a very subtle choreographed act designed to make him seem a little to the left of human, and very dangerous indeed.

Or he’ll just wave a needle at you, depends how much you annoy him.

Another thing is his excitement! He’s fucking thrilled to be doing this and you’re sure as hell going to know it. He could have taken his revenge quietly and gone on his way, but he didn’t. He kept going. Because he loves fear and he loves science and he loves being the Scarecrow. It’s fun to write that kind of sadistic enthusiasm.

8. What is your favorite random headcanon?

He overcame his fear and now his birds are who he’s most comfortable around and just :] he loves them :] and cares about them :] and they care about him :]

❝Do I?❞ he glances down at his hands, as if the evidence of the other’s comment can be seen there.  ❝Oh.❞ he clears his throat and decides to wave a hand and huff to dismiss it  ❝I am fine. I just...have not slept for...❞ he counts the days in his head since the last time he actually had managed to get more than two hours of sleep. Oswald would definitely not like the answer, so Ed decides not to clarify.  ❝a while. I am fine, though.❞ he says. Had he already told him that? He is not sure. Okay, this is not a good sign.

❝Maybe I should...sit down.❞ he murmurs, but he does not dare to move.  Is it logical to feel dizzy only when it is pointed out to him? Perhaps his mind had been too occupied by his work that his neuro-receptors lose their sensitivity to serotonin and norepinephrine which leads to impaired cognitive function. ❝What time is it?❞
