So the first published Elric story is literally just him leading a band to destroy his own city and killing his family? Like, that's all that happens?

The first Elric story I read is the novel called "Elric of Melniboné" and a lot happens in that story and Yyrkoon and Cymoril have a lot going on, and we get a good sense of Melniboné; so seeing the start is nothing happens and everyone dies is weird
